Remove the centre drive cover, throw it in the trash. The cover only holds dirt in, by taking it off it will now let dirt out. Then put on a set of safety glasses and use compressed air to clean out...
Yes remove the centre drive shaft. Not sure you will get the desired results though. I've broken mine a few times and its more like being at 1/2 power. Hard on the motor too.
Only major things the plastic bearing adapter on the slipper clutch. Not sure if they finally swapped them for Alum. or not. Also get the King Headz motor mount.
Call Traxxas, they are great to trouble shoot and offer great replacement support.
I live in Canada as well have no run time issues with lipos.
+2 I had it and sold it cheap after a couple of runs. Underpowered, slightly more torque than stock system. Just a let down though. Replaced it with the MMP 2400 combo and hold on for AWESOME!
Do you mean not steering? or the 4 wheels will not rotate?
I dislike the floppy adjustment on the pede 4x4 bumber. IMO RPM bumper and wheels are way better. You don't have to stop to fix the bumper all the time.
Grease is great for bashing, keeps most moisture and dirt out, its a bit messier, has a bit more resistance but for bashing and low maintenance its great.
Oiling is great for racing since there is...
Oh ok, Vice grips and a hammer, maybe a little heat to harm the plastic, or lay it over the heater in the house for a bit before trying it.
Try hitting it with the hammer a couple times first on...
Where did you get this information? It is a lipo battery the same as the one in you tablet, cell phone, cordless phone, etc
Get the 2400, I had the 3800 and ran it about 3 times was not impressed, dumped it and got the 2400 and I am still wow'ed.
C. Diff is for 2s lipo or less.
Just thought I have had them so that the pin is snug or tight as well. I ran a drill bit through the holes by hand and widen them ever so slightly.
Do you mean the hex pin wouldn't come out? If so use side cutters.
Bearing just slot screw driver and hammer.
It's not your shocks its your springs. They suck to start with so its not you or the truck. Try the Red T-maxx springs (TRX 4957) they are great for bashing. You won't a inch of preload with them.
I have been using my lipos for years and don't bother doing anything but charging them when I run them. I try to keep them full so I don't have to wait when I get a chance to run it. I too have a...
You may have to trim the plastic on the arms at both hinge points. I just did the same thing they're floppy now with next to no resistance.
^^^ Yup ^^^
Some pics may help us.... not sure how to comment because not exactly sure what the issue is. I think I know though.
Remember the faster you go the less time you have to react and the harder you hit things.
I dumped mine after 3 runs and got the MMP 2400 combo. SV2 was them same or a bit slower than stock depending on gearing.
Shoe goo and mesh type dry wall tape
Yeah racing bearing from the bay. Had Avid Bearing they were good as well. Yeah racing for abuse though over year and a bit, and still smooth.
