Traxxas doesnt look like they are trying to keep the lhs in business. They are now marketing to the masses. I have to give them credit. This is a huge way to boost sales but it is putting them at a...
Why are you assuming i hit curbs, trees and jump 15'. Mind you i am now able to do that with all the rpm stuff i've upgraded to. I run 4s all the time now and cant keep the drive train from failing....
Sorry. I dont mean that they are all failing but at least one does.
How do you know that the "cheap chinese cvds" that are made in taiwan wont be better. Where do you think traxxas stuff is made? ...
Anyone try them? Since I'm ordering diff cups from them I thought I'd try a set. My summit shafts have a few runs on them and should be failing soon....
I'm going to try these with aluminum outer diff housings and the hardened steel ring gears I got on ebay. The ring gears look to be machined so they should hold up better than the sintered ones....
Well...They lasted a little longer than the traxxas ones. it doesnt take long for a groove to wear as there is very little material supporting the shaft ends the gears run on. Looks like the RD logic...
Buy a 4-tec...I love mine far more than my xo-1. It is so much fun to drive and never breaks. The XO-1 doesn't handle and my revo is always breaking. My 4-tec is my favourite traxxas product so far.

Just buy mine it has everything done already and it still breaks. I just installed aftermarket ring gears in the diffs and in 5 min of testing the internal diff gears let go. Im also running the hp...
I found a similar problem when accelerating. It would turn one way more than the other. I found my camber was different from one side to the other.
Just bought a couple. I will let you know how they hold up.
I was thinking of getting a local machine shop i deal with to make me up a set of gears in hopes that they would be stronger than the traxxas sintered ones. Perhaps stronger gears with an aluminum...
Thats my style....awesome. My revo is laid up right now with another toasted ring gear. When i brought it in i found another broken summit shaft and a broken axle carrier. Im putting in the rpm true...
Mine do that a little also. Especially after a crash. The wheels are probably not true. A bent a bent axle could also could cause this. I wouldnt worry about it too much.
I applied loctite once before i realized the mechanics behind the pinion coming loose. It still came loose with loctite. The problem isnt the screw backing out its the shaft turning slightly when the...
Your pinion will almost always come loose if the set screw is not set perpendicular to the flat on the motor shaft. If it is not as soon as any power is applied the pinion will slip slightly on the...
Your wife is going to hate you...:)
I really enjoy mine as well. I am never dissapointed when i take my 3.3 out. So many times i am let down by my another broken part on my erbe or the sloppieness of my xo1. The 4 tec is awesome. I...
Be prepared to dump a lot more into it in upgrades. They are always breaking. I have a crazy amount into mine and I was so happy when i got 2 runs in on 4s without breaking anything. To bad i went 6s...
I bought a couple cheap $25 2s ebay lipos and they are awesome. Don't care what people say about these cheap ebay specials the ones I got were great. I can do standing back flips even with my big...
I really like my trenchers. They are larger but I'm only running 4s. I'm sick of breaking stuff however even on 4s it still happens. On 6s it doesn't matter what tires you run. You will still break...
Just ordered thr HR double up slipper. Will let you know how it works.
Got a new set of trenchers tonight. Was surprised how well they worked for such a big tire. Anyway all was great till i went on 6s and my slipper kept slipping. Anyone know of a good upgrade that can...
I just installed the extended wheelbase arms and it helped quite a bit.
Its for shelf queens. but i hear if you risk scratching it its aerodynamic properties will add a couple mph. Is it worth the risk?
