This thread is still alive? Woot!
FLM's stuff is interesting, and I'm glad someone has begun to recognize the potential for wide pede gear. But, FLM's lack of detail and communication have left me completely underwhelmed. I won't be...
I used a slice of rod end, but a piece of fuel tubing would work too. It does enough.

Those things are HUGE. Looks good!
Well, that and 17/89 gearing with a 15 turn.
Watch those temps! :)
yes, with more torque :)
I make sure to use RPM hexes; they are not as thick. I also sometimes reverse the nuts.
I usually discard wheel nuts after a few changes, you can feel when the nylon gives out.
Yep, that's what I use.
You should know that some people have said they've broken theirs, and they recommend a 124 instead. I have not broken any of mine, and so I continue to use the 121.
You want the one with Futaba "J" connectors.
I use a Kimbrough 121. It's got a softer spring than the 124, and my theory is that I'd rather the saver died than the servo :)
Those are some mean looking tires. Enjoy them!
the only things left for you to do are aluminum shock caps, and a wide pede of course, with pins all around. :)
You will be happy with either of those choices, they both perform well. The only real consideration is appearance. The G-hawgs look more aggressive, but the swampers are also meaty and slightly wider.
By the way, I'm working on my server tonight, so if you get broken images in my post above, try back in a bit. :)
If you do that on a stampede you may run into the ESC, depending on your ESC. My F1's heat sink is taller than the shock tower.
Here are some pics of an Atomik body on a widened pede.
I used lowered front posts (used a hobby knife to shorten the posts.)
On the rear, I left the stock body mount. HOWEVER, the posts don't...
My son's truck has them, and they make it easier for him to carry it around.
I use a simple plastic bag on my cars' receivers. It's a little cheap insurance, regardless of where you run.
Excellent.
Heck, even if it didn't work, at least it looks mean. :)
Good point. .5 longer than what?
Exact dimensions are necessary. It's in FastLane's best interest, since they only stand to make more sales if we know what we're buying. Helluva way to market a...
Gee, thanks for your helpful input.
Why? If both sets are half an inch wider, than it will still require rear wheels on the rear to be even. Part of the incentive of widening the front in the...
I don't think anyone yet knows the answers to your questions. Fast Lane is not helpful there either.
If you get the extended arms, please post dimensions!

Lots of questions...
<drum roll>
...but not a single question mark! :fear: :p
Oh, here are those arms.
Dig the spatula. Excellent. :) :)
Mine's part of a PC case:

As long as you are realistic in your expectations, you'll find the Stampede to be a very reliable vehicle. With a few upgrades, you'll find it amazingly so!
