It's the 3660 I believe
It's a tacon, pretty sure it's a two pole. Spins a lot easier than my old tenshock
No, no binding, drive train rolls smooth, not sure why it would get so hot. That was the whole reason for switching to 3000kv figured it would run cooler
Well I finally got a full run in with my new setup. About 25 min mostly in loose dirt and boy am I surprised how hot the motor got thought for sure this setup would run fairly cool. The motor temp...
Well either way I'm curious how they perform. A lot of ... Is made in China these days. Let us know
Those are pretty!
[QUOTE=Lipo-power-please1582;5639583]This is what I use, they are quality drivers and have replaceable tips.......
I'm gonna mail them in to them.
The old one was the inner hinge pin, I couldn't remember.
They keep breaking at the outer hinge pin. It's cold out today but the truck was only running for 5 min before it broke on a minor tumble on grass. I couldn't believe it.
Anyone have any experience with the STRC aluminum A-Arms? I keep breaking the RPM ones I have now. Not impressed, I don't feel like there any better than stock. I've had the stock fronts the whole...
I'm curious to see how this turns out.
That looks good!
They sure look nice, I'm especially digging the wheels. Too bad I've moved on to 17mm or I'd give them a shot.
Ain't that the truth. It never ends! At least it's a fun way to blow $$
I was able to take her out for a bit yesterday for a trial run and she definitely feels faster than the old Tenshock setup. I didn't gps it, but based off doing it in the past I would guess I was...
Cool. I'll report back once I get a good test run in.
I've already upgraded my axles and a ton of other things. I'll be running 3s pretty much exclusively. And a far as the motor goes, it's a 3660-3000kv. I have a 15t pinion with a stock spur on it now...
Well, she's all dialed in and ready to go I'll have to wait for better weather to give her a test. It's been a sloppy rainy melting snow day around here....
Update part 2:
I received a brand new esc in the mail today. I will be soldering up the connections in the next day or so and trying it out with my new motor, Assuming the weather allows. There's a...
So Hobbywing received my esc and confirmed that it needs to be replaced and they will under warranty. Here's the kicker, they now state that I need to pay them $26 for return shipping....
Okay, will do.
Thanks for the info guys. I have a 15t pinion I have laying around I'll start with. Now to just hope Hobbywing sends me a replacement esc.
What would be a good starting point for gearing with 3000kv motor on 3s? Obviously would want the most gear while still keeping temps in check.
