Metal rusts.
if it's just dusty, and you don't have access to compressed air, get a paintbrush and just brush it off.
keep dirt and dust out of all the moving parts, giving special attention to the shocks, gears...
sorry rusty, but that's not true. too many of us have done it for too long.
even itty-bitty 1/18ths can handle 3s power, and these 1/16ths are closer in size and power requirements of 1/12th cars.
can't hardly get the power down running 2s in our Rallys, so 3s would be a total waste of time.
but to answer your question, we have tried a lot of different brands of lipos and they all perform...
basically, the mini-slash is the same thing as the rally. other than bumpers, body mounts and body and wheels/tires.
mini-summit shares most parts with the mini-revo.
they don't make any...
when assembling the RPM hubs, you need to make sure the pillowballs do not bind. they should be able to wiggle around in the hubs quite freely, and move all around the full rotation without binding....
all the 1/16th traxxas cars and trucks use the same hubs, so theoretically the wheels off one will mount on another.
whether they'll fit under the body or rub on the chassis, or look dorky, is...
the deal is that if you buy online you also have to pay for shipping, so any price difference is about a wash.
the other thing to consider is service, and whether or not your local hobby shop...
you've enlarged those pics so big they've gotten fuzzy and blurry
no, don't remember the part numbers. got them off ebay I think, but can be found on the hotracing site also. the 16lb are silver and the 15lb are red, but listed to fit the 1/16th traxxas cars.
are you running it on the ground and noticing it, or are you free-wheeling it by running it on blocks with the wheels off the ground? brushless systems are not designed to be freewheeled, and you...
+1
seems more like some kind of electronic "glitch," and could be why the previous owner sold it as well as a problem with "buying used" as you are oftentimes buying somebody else's problem.
try reading one reply above yours
just about any 2000mah or smaller lipo pack should fit.
we have several different brands, and they are all about the same performance-wise.
back when the cars came out guys at the track were asking then, and I kept defending traxas and saying "give them time, the car is new." but gee-whiz, it has been 6 months now and it seems like they...
LOL, i wasn't picking, just being curious.
i guess i understand the guys wanting the blacked out look, but he has all the red aluminum so it blows that theory.
but once you get them mounted and preloaded you would have a hard time...
i am new here, so I didn't know.
i do know there are guys at our local track not buying them because of this, and if traxas knew they were killing their own sales they might do something. producing...
that is funny, "taking the training wheels off," since you went straight from kit to full size 10-speed bike.
I was also curious why you would dye the springs, since the painted markings is how...
okay I guess, it is just that you went bigblock motor and stayed with the whimpy stock batts, which is kind of like running a racecar off pumpgas. :D
I guess it just took you 2 posts to get around to it, but you still didn't explain why to do it. ;)
you guys sure hit the nail on the head with this one. 6 months now and no replacement bodies, what gives traxxas?
my son and I got ours back in November, and at this point the only thing holding...
spent all that dough, and no lipos? :O.o: that's weird.
as someone else said, they are basically the same cars just different bodies. so it all depends on your body preference, and if you want the factory brushless motor setup or not.
