Body posts, bellcrank, and the suspension arms aren't as wide.
I'm a fan of beadlock, though I've never gotten a set. I like the idea that I can change worn out tires without having to buy a whole new set of rims. The whole boiling/exacto knife thing to get...
Oil only changes the rate at which the shock will compress/expand, not how much. You need either preload spacers (stock Slash MUST have at least a big one on each shock) or stiffer springs.
Yes, I think JR makes those high voltage servos. They're aluminum and red.
Run the brushless and gear it down. That way you can gear it up and go full power when you want. When your son's ready, you won't have to buy a new truck to go faster.
Who said he was running a lipo?
I run 2s on a vxl with the slipper tightened right down and I've never blown a driveshaft or output yoke. If one of these breaks on an XL5, it won't be because of the motor or gearing. I think.
I'm running 15t on my vxl and the motor doesn't even get warm. Nice acceleration, but top speed is nice and slow so the kiddies can drive it without damaging too much.
I think sharpies work just fine on lexan. Agreed on the fine point sharpie.
No fair, I got my first warning points with that word. Then I got more for challenging the real world validity. They just seem to keep piling up, I dunno. I'm not a bad guy, or mouthy or anything....
Marlon has it right, though it looks like he got an email or two from the "momerators". My virgin ears are bleeding.
Anyway, to top it off a swinging shock doesn't offer any damping, only when it...
Yeah, this has kinda puzzled me a bit too but I have an opinion so here goes. When I say shock, I mean the entire thing with the spring.
We have two main concepts to understand: the more vertical...
Yeah, Novak was alleged to be trying to fix the problem but that's old news and still nothing has come out..
No problem. Try just holding the spur and spinning the left wheel. It should spin freely along with the right wheel spinning in the other direction. If you're holding the right and the spur down and...
1. The slipper shouldn't affect whether the wheels turn. Check to see if you have tightened the wheel a bit too much. These should spin pretty freely in opposite directions to each other. As far as...
I've heard 15t for the titan.
Well thanks for all the help everyone.
I tore apart another 2075 servo and determined the circuit board is smaller, however the two end caps are interchangeable across the two servos, which is...
Yep, though you may find them a bit long.
Had 'em on my slash for a long time. Great tire to transition from dirt to pavement then onto grass.
One more thing Epic, I bought the "wrong" part so I could get my truck running again at the expense of 6 bucks. Would one expect blue RPM parts to be a different fit than the black ones? If you went...
Epic, your response isn't all that helpful is it? I'm trying to figure out if it is, in fact wrong. I think they're the same case, just blue instead of black. Same innards right?
Jaysd, no I mean...
Agreed, but I'm going back to waterproof. We get snow here in Toronto. :) I don't think my VXL is waterproof is it?
Anyone try this? I blew my 2070 servo case and the lhs only had the 2075 case so I figured I'd just convert it over but now I don't think the circuit board is the same between the two. I can't get...
Lipo's don't like moisture either. I've eyed the duratrax batts too, gotta admit. The RC Driver review really did hit the nail on the head though, LiFe isn't for racers because of the voltage but the...
Well with winter approaching I'm going to put the XL5 and titan back into the Slash. Problem is my batts (3300) don't seem to supply enough juice, especially with stock gearing, to get the truck...
