I already have Teckno Aluminum hexes.
Still strip a wheel every now and then.
In that case I would get the MIP Bypass1 kit for 13mm shocks and install it like I did. Then change to 40 weight in the front and 35 in the rear and change the springs out to some that are a bit...
Out of the box the pinion set screw has no thread locker on it and likes to back off. It will then cause the problem you have and if you keep running it it will strip the spur gear out as well.
Mine...
Yes I have the Tekno M6 drive shaft kit and there Hex kit on the truck.
I'm running a 4 pole 3900kv motor and 130amp ESC, (Dynamite Fuse system)
But I stripped all but this last one on the...
Ok so I stripped one of my stock wheels sort of. The stock hex got stuck in the wheel. No big deal. I just used some CA glue to make sure it would stay and ran the thing till the tire was about bald....
Ditch the stock shocks! They suck for bashing! You will bend them, or blow the shock caps off all the time!
Search for my bashers build thread. Lots of good info in there. And I will be adding...
Going to be ordering some my self soon.
Thanks.
Dos any have the part #s for the springs that come stock?
More pics of this truck please!
It should.
Iv seen people put then on the slash and the slash body fits the rally so........................
I like the brass better then aluminum because brass will last longer.
But the aluminum ones will get the job done to. But they do wear out over time.
I have a large heat-sink on my motor as well...
I ordered one.
I have drilled several stock hex's out to 6mm. Just clamp it lightly in a vise and go slow with a 6mm bit.
Stock is 13/54.
My calculator shows that a 12t/54 would have the same top speed as the stock gearing. But my own testing showed that an 11t/54 is faster then the stock gearing and gets you there...
I would go with the new GTR shocks or SC10 4x4 shocks. There much better then the stockers and even a big upgrade over the power strokes.
At my LHS.
I think there made by Robinson Racing. There Mod0.8 but they fit the larger shaft of the Fuze motor.
I run the same shocks on my truck with the MIP bypass1 kit mounted upside down. Works better that way.
Can you post some links to where you got the aluminum shock caps and adjuster rings please?
...
Yes it will work just fine.
I have that motor/ESC in my truck and my 30C 5000mah 2S batteries work just fine.
Make sure you get the right gear for the motor. The stock ones will not work. I run...
It can be done but really why not just order a camber gauge off ebay for 8 bucks shipped?
A toe gauge is just a little more.
So you can get both for less then $20 shipped.
If $20 in tools is...
No problem man!
Look in to the MIP Bypass1 kit. It works vary well, and is not to expensive ether.
I installed my kit upside down to improve rebound speeds so it would react faster.
But the kit...
I got mine off ebay as factory new take offs for like $64 shipped.
Here is a link to an auction from the same seller....
I don't jump mine of the roof ether! LOL.
But I do get it 2-4' in the air from time to time.
And having owned the ProLines (There now on my wife's truck) and spending a lot of time trying to...
I tried it. But I could not get it stay on the body. It would come off when I rolled over or landed hard. I tried gluing it to. Lasted longer but would start coming off at some point.
Looks good...
I had the prolines.
I replaced them with SC10 4x4 shocks with MIP Bypass1 valve kit installed upside down.
Check my build thread for more info on them. There bigger then the Prolines and...
Looks good.
I'm interested to see how well they hold up compared to the Teknos and MIPs.
You must not be running in dusty dirty places then.
This is what happens when you run in the dust and sand a lot.
