Yea, it only ran a short time before the spur gear gave it up. Ordering a metal shoe clutch setup and couple new spur gears and give it another try. : Thanks guys.
took it apart this morning and everything looks ok. Did notice the clutch shoes were turn other way than what it shows in the parts diagram so turn them and going to reassemble and see what happens...
everything was normal, cb spun freely on unmounted engine and the mesh between the 2 was smooth. It did have a new spring on the clutch shoes and was very tight, maybe it was too tight holding them...
I just put a 3.3 on my revo and put a revo clutch bell, with new clutch shoes and bearings and all. Soon after I started running it i noticed there seemed to be alot of heat coming from the clutch...

not sure bigger will help, i've heard that breaking them down and putting a wrap of duct tape around the foam and then remounting them will fix it but havnt done it myself.
