Jconcepts illuzions
Sounds useless when you can get the bluebird and have plenty of torque for under $40.
OMG them foams are wore down!! lol. Nice setup!!!
Krall, after seeing this thread back on top reminds me that you need to give the merv some more love and spend more time here! You had me soo close to buying a new ESC(brushless hobbies or MMP) so i...
It is sensorless
You guys keep talking about the quality and durability of the shells... You guys do know that the jconcepts shells are like twice as thick rite? just checking :)
Whats a gyro?
Mossie, I love my CC motor! If i had a temp gun and knew if if was running at a safe temp then i would use it all the time. But till then im not gonna keep running it and getting it soo hot not...
Haha you will be safe then.
BBs are heavy. You are gonna be landing very hard if you jump high with a bb. Specially the 3500! The 3500 is noticeably heavier than the CC 4600kv motor.
Yes, the steel gears in the transmission are added rotating weight. And jimbo is rite! Spurs are plastic for a reason... they are ment to strip if something isnt rite. If you get a metal spur then...
You will not be disappointed!
Sounds dead!! Give your merv some love! give the summit a break!
The 380 or 3500?
It will be a lot more noticeable than the stock setup lol.
I dont have a temp gun. And i know touch isnt accurate. But its enough to know my cc 4600 runs quite a bit hotter than the velineon 3500. And i run 31/45 gearing and just do speed passes on the road.
I agree with shimmie. If you are gonna run a BB then run 2 lipos in parallel. And the tekin RX8 is a 1/8 scale setup. You probably want a 1/10 scale setup. If you have $300 to spend then i recommend...
I ran mine today on ***** 1800mah 20c 3s and after 5 speed passes i could barely touch the motor. Same setup with the velineon 3500 and it barely got hot after a ton of speed passes.
Yes, it will get pretty hot with the 3s if you run aggressive gearing. I prefer my velineon 3500 over my CC 4600kv.
My vote goes to pulling the heat away from the electronics. But i dont run one so i guess my opinion is just a guess.
I really keep wanting to give the CC motor another chance to find something i like about it. But i really cant find anything about it that is better than the velineon 3500. Only think i can find soo...
Put my Castle 4600 1406 back in it to give it another chance. I still like the velineon 3500 more. Runs a whole lot cooler and i did speed runs and the 3500 only went 1mph slower than the CC.
I looked at my merv today!! lol
No, shimmie runs a SB motor. I believe its a 380 like stock.
