I have most of the day tomorrow to play with it so I will start with fresh batteries in everything and see what happens. Is there some type of "factory reset" I can do on all the electronics?

@Emaxx: that is correct. If I connect the motors directly to a battery they will spin like they should in the Bandit. But when I connect to the Bandit I get no response...
