Yeh it's the casters I believe, the ones the hybrid diffs come with. After waiting weeks got some replacements. 1 of them is finished already after a few minutes.
I believe the first lot I had...
I stripped a stock diff once on 6S, shimmed and never had a problem again with the stock diff on 6S. I changed over to 1/8 scale diffs with hybrid bulk and I have not been able to go even 5min...
Hey
So after waiting for a month for a replacement diff gear set after smashing my last ones, I find the diff gears are from another model HB diff.
Basically I need to replace the gears in the...
Also, does anyone know what the part number is for the differential gears inside the diff cup? Looking everywhere but can't find it and RC Monster I can't post on until they activate my account which...
I believe I have found the problem, ride height.
With the ride height I have, coupled with the out drives, the dog bone was binding up in the out drive and I believe this is what caused my...
Running 7.4v straight from BEC to receiver and onto servo. Works great. Got it together and got some shots.

Diffs - they is dead. Front, rear, maybe both. As 50togo said, time to tear them out and have a peek. Might as well give them a shim while you've got them apart / replaced.
You know I'm not sure now.
I had 'assumed' (and you know what they say about assumptions) that if I ran the BEC from the battery to the RX @7.4v (via Castles instructions), that it would send...

So it's pretty well done mechanically, just most have to get the BEC all soldered up to...
Yeh I will probably order them at some point but I don't think the nylon will compress, I'm more worried abour friction heating it up and causing it to explode in the bulkhead case.
Will find out...
Was hoping to go the same route you did there, but I couldn't find any power supplies to match, at least not without massively breaking the bank. That looks like a wicked charging setup.
Still...
Yeh it's getting there. Front half of the truck is done so far as bulkheads / diffs on, steering linkages, axle carriers and arms, front bumper are all put together, transmission is in.
Tomorrow...
Alright so all the parts have arrived. The parts I ordered all came a few weeks ago (mid Jan) but the FLM hybrid bulks and chasis didn't show up till this week so last night was the first chance I...
Won't help with cogging. Cogging is caused by the fact the ESC doesn't know the position of the magnets on the rotor, so it takes the motor a few rpm's before it starts to turn in sync with which...
No problems running a sensorless motor on the esc. The RX8 is dual drive, its only sensored up to a certain rpm, then it switches to sensorless. It just means it wont operate sensored at lower rpm so...
Without question Tekin from my experience. Had my Castle go up in smoke, took my receiver with it. the Castle system also cogged like crazy down low. Didnt want to spend a lot so bought the hobbywing...
After I shimmed my standard diffs, I never had a problem with them. I heard a clicking sound and figured it was the front diff (the original diff I blew before realising I should have shimmed them),...
Yeh I like the Big Joe tires. They look good, which was my initial impression but when you look into it a little further they have a few other benefits;
- wider over all track width by 1 inch:...
My Traxxas steel CVD's lasted a single run on 6S. That bent one and snapped the dog bone in another. The car never even left the ground.......that was just the torque eating them.
Converted to the...
Don't bother with Integy. Get something like UE or FLM. I would avoid the RPM shock towers. You want some parts to flex, but a shock tower isn't one of them. The RPM shock tower is highly unlikely to...
Considered the true track but I can't be bothered modifying another set of axle carriers to fit the LST XXL driveshafts so I will just stick with the toe links, worse case scenario if the rod ends...
I found the Big Joes didn't balloon as much as the stockers and the Road Rages pretty much didn't at all.
You do have to exercise some restraint on 6S. If the front wheels are in the air don't...
Mine are also bent.
I don't really worry about it. If you go aluminium you have to consider where the force of any impact is going to go. With plastic in there, it'll absorb some of the impact...
Like your video mate, some running footage would be nice.
Always love the look of big joes, they always look like a set of tyres with an rc attached to them.
