stock gearing is fine with the badlands in my experience
the pads are interchangeable and the same size so this works jus requires 2 buys of a slipper clutch rebuild kit
if there is any slipper clutch "upgrade" kit that i have found for the jatp... 1. buy a rebuild kit for the jato and it only comes with the composite pads(have yet to see one with aluminum pads), 2....
might have a servo with stripped gears i had that issue with a steering servo, it would turn one way but not the other
actually im running 20/40 revo gearing which is longer than stock gearing and i dont have any problems so stock gearing shouldnt be a problem.
I use these front and back for offroad on my jato and love them. lots of grip and im not chasing the back end anywhere near as much as i was on dirt
RPM a arms all the way around, RPM front bumper(saved me the other day when i hit a sign post lol). I run badlands strictly offroad, trenchers on/offroad and foams for strictly onroad. for the stock...

I just burned up the steering servo in my Jato but its been about 3-4 months of hard bashing since i burned one up. Point being if your gonna be doing alot of bashing look into a metal geared servo...
before you do that make sure that the clutch bell and spur gear are not paired up too tight that will cause it to not roll freely and make a clicky noise. I had that happen when i wreaked mine one...
