Either just shave your battery tray on your chassis down with a Dremel to make the 3s fit or get a better RC like a 1/8 scale that can handle higher speeds and larger batteries.

******* = epic win
My 7 year old races my 8ight-E 2.0 on the track like a pro. But I won't let him even touch the lipos in his pede. He knows the only batteries he's ever allowed to charge or switch are the NiMH...
Tiernan85, looks great, but I'd bet that guy doesn't even power it up. People that mod cars like that do it for show, not for bashing/racing.
it looks nice on the shelf though :)
Website looks awful.. almost like an asian phishing/fraud website. However I checked it out, IP is from Cali, administrative owner is from Cali.. just a website that needs a facelift I guess.
Thanks! listening now.
Castle has great technical service. I have my own business and my bar is set extremely high for service. When I called Castle the gentlemen I spoke to really gave 110% service and made me feel like...
It's not under $30, but if you want to buy one last servo for years to come, then get an XP ds1313 or ds1015: 200oz, 0.106 speed, metal gears, pure power.
Hahaha awesome!
Love the hardcore track too.. It is from a thunderdome cd?
The velineon fan is a big rip off if you ask me. $25 or so for a little fan that looks and feels so cheap. You are better off buying a good computer fan of the same size with dual sealed ball...
Haha, did this once.. learned pretty quickly that a 50mph hood slide without a body can grind towers and body mounts down pretty quickly :)

90% sure, not 95%, just 90%.
if you want a real good servo, go for a ACE or XP DS1015. It's 200oz of torque and 0.108 speed @ 6v. it's overkill for the rusty, but trust me, it's awesome and you won't believe how quick it is.

+1... don't fool with a broken idle gear.
Wow, yes that could have been a major issue with an encore of fire as well.
I'd shrink wrap those wires (will require you to cut the wires and re-solder..
Alternatively, you can also Shoe-Goo...
That sucks. Personally I think the road is for cars though. That's why I'm extremely careful when driving it on pavement, especially near corners that you can't see around.
I really would never...
Pre-glued is not what you want. Almost all pre-glued tires come off their rims because they are put on by a bunch of people paid to sit in a room all day and glue 100s of them over and over.
If...
Wow that is a lot of upgrades. Why not purchase a better vehicle to begin with and save yourself a lot of money and trouble?
Don't get me wrong, the Rustler VXL is an excellent truck, but I never...

Badlands get my vote. Very aggressive tire.
Good discussion going on here. A lot of great tips.
I never thought of using a fan for the first 2/3 of the charge, and then removing the fan for the peak detection.. good advice and it will...
I admitted that I overlooked the factor of 6 cells which accumulatively makes a large difference. I have no issues admitting when I was wrong. Never once I did I say I couldn't be :)

My statements above were generalized and not meant to be taken at face value. They were to prove a point that 0.02v was not much of a difference. You have explained them in engineering terms which...
