On my way 'back' to the LHS now. On a first name basis now!
Im not sure how it broke. My son brought it to me and said, 'Hey, Dad, this broke. He may have over tightened it?
Does anyone know of an upgrade for the center, rear drive hub? It is Traxxas part 6888. There is an upgrade for the 'front drive hub' which is 6888x, but it does not fit in the rear. I can not find...
Yes. Only put the diff oil where the 4 gears are. It is a sealed diff.
Clean it up good with some carb cleaner. Dry it off real good. Replace the broken blue Oring/wahser. Check and clean the...
Welcome to the 4x4 addiction! Ahhh, they are so shiny when they come out of the box. Have fun.
I went for a long time without breaking shafts/yokes, then all of a sudden they started breaking on every run. I now have MIP X Dutys.
[QUOTE=CoolKD;5100432]I found 50K front and rear works great, I also use thick RC boat grease in my bearings cos they are far from watertight. So I clean all the old grease out and pack them full...
Sending pm.
I own a real 1979 F150. I just bought one of these but have not painted it yet. Great job on yours.....looks great.
Great explanation. Thanks. I just reinstalled everything with 10 - 50 - 7. I'll see how I like it this weekend.
Nice and Shiny! Good luck keeping it that way. Nice job.
If I switch to bigger tires (2.8"), should I put heavier weight oil front and rear? Instead of 10-50-7, switch to 20-50-15?
Thanks all. I guess this applies whether it is a racer or basher, right?
Why run heavier diff oil in front and lighter in rear? Although there are many opinions of what weight of diff oil to run, every combination I have found includes heavier oil in front and lighter...
Well, I found out they are not stainless, but I figured someone on here would have heard about them or used them.
Anyone used ball bearings from 'Advantage Racing Products' as replacements? Do they perform well? Any issues?
So you take apart new bearings and replace whatever is in them with new oil before you ever use them?
Sounds expensive, hope the price of parts doesn't go up.
Dude....7 minutes of brutal fun and all you have is a bent shock shaft!! Awesome, pure awesome.
Question.......Does the baja buggy body(say that 3 times fast) fit without mods? How do you setup...
If the batt is fairly new it shouldn't be the problem. It should pull a wheelie easy. Check the slipper clutch and the gear mesh.
I have 4 of them (SPC 2s 5000mah). Other than not being waterproof, they are great. Charge well. Last long(~30min). Solid connectors. Great customer service too.
10100 is the older model C-CVD by mip. It is not the X-Duty CVD by MIP. All the part numbers listed above are the X-Duty CVD kits.
Glad you got them to fit.
Awesome...thanks for sharing! Even the stock Slash 4x4 is AWESOME!
Can you mix front and rear too?
