This engine was featured in the July 2001 issue of RC Nitro (put out by RC Car Action) and was mounted into an RC10GT. They did something similar to a T-Maxx in the same article but used an OS .40...
Check my sig, let me know if you want the pics too
DYE C4 pants, DYE ATC's, old long sleeve Tee, Old beanie, eclipse gloves, and either grillz or E-Vents.
Got a pic of it? it would def make it a lot easier to ID. To get it apart, try spraying some WD40 into it to loosen things up.
Yea the tape thing was more of a temporary thing than anything else, was kind of a pain to get it to line up right and to get the yoke on. I didn't use Electrical tape though, since it was too thick;...
Sweet mod, looks like you took the same steps I did to use revo center shafts. How's the transmission yoke holding up? You can make the revo diff yoke fit the T-maxx tranny by cutting a little off...
I'd say you'll def need to go with either the RRP gears or a built UE 2.5 tranny. I've been running the 3.3 tranny in my supermaxx with a RE Surefire .32, and have managed to blow the tranny up three...
It's pretty much gonna be drift spec tires (or any hard compound tire for that matter.) You don't really need much else since the engine is powerful enough to break even the stock tires loose. You...
What? someone say pi(e)?
Yup, full vbs, ext suspension, thunder chassis etc..
Its too cold out, so it sits on my desk waiting...
PM'd about the tranny
You could convert the driveshafts and knuckles to 3.3 specs. That would inprove the strength some, and can be pretty cheap off ebay
How does the rollbar attach to the truck? Zipties?
Here's my personal fav: http://members.dslextreme.com/users/hironimus/
I've got a set of 3.3 max shafts and hubs, but no centers. The hubs do need the smaller bearing, but if you already have an older max you can sipe thebearings from that. Needs 4 bearings total to...
From my experience, the blue peice has a metal collar in it, and I actually took the blue peice out and the pipe promptly deformed from the heat, and pressure from the zip tie.
I guess it's there...
Ofna Picco .26 drop in engine, for use with ezstart. Uses stock everything off the T-maxx, for less than 400.
Might need this engine...
Yup, what porsche said, try riching the LSN, then adjust the idle to compensate
I used two extra collets, one on the other side of the rod coming off the brake shaft, and the second sandwiching the collar on the servo horn.
Lemme get you a pic to explain this better..
You can pretty much replace everything on the truck itself. For bashing RPM arms aren't a bad idea, but the stoack arms are pretty strong as is; plus what the other guys said above. Definitely...
haha, nice, definitely working hard. Me on the other hand..
Siemens SL56 or V3 Razr, depending on my mood for the day. Coming in a week or two, Pebl or Slvr, gotta decide...
Gotta love GSM phones
Hmm, been outta school for almost 3 weeks now. Now for that summer internship, work work work.
Working hard or hardly working?!?!
metalhobo - Tried that, it wasn't moving the sleeve at all
superUEmaxx - good call, that got it to slide up, but it still took a bit of elbow grease to get it out. Man it was wedged in there tight...
I'm having some trouble getting the sleeve out of my 3.3 engine. I have tried heating it with a hair dryer, and pushing from the bottom with the blunt end of a pen. Nothing seemed to get it to budge....
