That grease that comes with your Spartan is all i have used for the flexi-shaft and the strut bearings.

I would certainly give it a good swill out with WD40 then some light oil and try it again.

Run on no more than 5s and you will not have any problems believe me.

You could start with some big lipos i use traxxas 3s 8400mah x2 and i get about 25 mins on these.

If its under warranty it is no problem Castle Electrics do a great job of replacing burnt out Esc's. Mine was a month old when it blew up just three weeks ago i am sailing again now thanks to them.

Well guys at last i got my Esc back thumbs up to Logic RC and a big thank you especialy to Stuart Esc replaced under warranty. Get it all back together now and try it out at the weekend....

Yes it is the updated Castle esc so took your advice and emailed them aswell as traxxas.
I will let you all know how i get on, funny thing is my 30days warranty will be up on saturday.
