Have you tried Google on this one? I have no idea what aftermarket parts are available for the Spartan. But maybe you can call 888-Traxxas and they'll steer you in the right direction. Their customer support is excellent.
Sorry if this is of little help. But at least it bumps your thread!
Unfortunately Traxxas cannot help you on this upgrade, They only produce plastic props. The exact comparison of the Spartan prop. is the berellium copper from Grimracer 42x55 or Octura X442.
A Prather 215 is also very close and is Stainless Steel.
Thanks for the information guyz.
Regulardude! I will post a step by step prop balancing & sharpening soon I'm just waiting for the props that I ordered, but where is your cap pack cooling mode process? I'm waiting for that though, post it first before I post mine LOL!
BTW I'll PM you the site of those store.
I should be starting it soon. I've been working on (and finished) my heliflopters, and have been flying them on weekends.
Well, I finally got me a stainless steel prop ordered. They have been out of stock since I started this post. I figure it should be here in a couple of days. It's a balanced Prather S215. I also got a bullet nut....I'll be so cool....I can't wait. (lol)
Be carefull with the bullet nut. My first one came off and I lost my Prather 215 prop. I now use a locking stainless nut with the bullet nut behind. I also use blue locktite. I use the aftermarket .150 flex cable and there is enough room for both nuts.
I'm jealous of you Guys, you can play with your Spartan all year long, I'm still waiting for the snow to come off before I can go to my Local Lake.
I am from northern Mi. so I am sure I am waitng as long as you Edgemoulic
Thanks for the heads up SJS.
Got my prop last night...very nice. I couldn't remember how I mounted my other props utill I went to put this one on. I used a tension washer and Locktite. That should do the trick. I sures fire don't want to lose a 50 dollar prop...that's 4dam sure.
Wow 50bucks for a prop!?
I can buy 3 and have it balanced and sharpened.
Anyway make sure the washer is made of stainless so that it won't build rust on the liner.
I mean on my post, so that it won't build rust on the flex cable.
$50 is about right for a ss prop sharpended and balanced. Most shops charge around $25 for the service and the cost of a ss prop $20 plus tax and frieght... Hence $50.....
