Thoughts on new servo?
Here's what I'm looking at - http://www.rcplanet.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=SAVSC1257TG&CartID=1
It's the Savox 1257
I have a slash with the stampede front and rear ends with big 2.8 MT tires
Would this servo be good or are there any other options for better servos?
Thanks in advance
I have that very same servo in my Slash 4x4. Savox is one of my favs.
I thought that's what I've seen in your pictures ... Sounds good to me
Is it easy to connect the castle BEC?
Just soldering a couple wires and removing another from the ESC, then plugging it in.

I used a Glitch Buster for a good while and it remedies the glitching normally caused from Savox servos. If you feel more compfortable with this. The only thing I hate about the external BECs is needing to place it somewhere.
Soldering is not a problem .. glitch buster would be cheaper, easier and don't have to find a place for it.
If I upgraded to the MMM in the future, would a glitch buster still work?
I would get this turn*gy 620DMG+HS High Torque Digital Servo. You can find it online on multiple sites. There are over 60 5* reviews for this servo so I bet it's good.
I think it's a good servo. It's waterproof, and has pretty good specs considering it's only $17. If you are bashing, get 2 of these and have one extra, if you are doing any racing, get the savox. This servo is also waterproof and powerful. It is all metal gears (not titanium, but you don't really need titanium unless you are going all out hardcore). It looks really nice. You can see it turning here:
Watch all the way through because he turns slowly at the beginning. It's a great value for $17, and you could get 4 for the price of one, which is better because you can put them in other rigs, and if it breaks, you can at least replace it. Hope this helps!

Yes it would. The new Mamba Monster v.2 has BEC settings between 5-7v. The Mamba monster now is fixed at 5.5v output. So hopefully the new one is stronger. ;)
I recently installed the Associated XP series and it's been great. I have an MMP and no glitch, no soldering,....plugged and played. Think I paid about $65 on ebay.
Perfect ... Thanks for the feedback guys
Man for 17$ that turn!gy servo is worth trying!

I know! I think it's powerful and waterproof which makes it even better than stock. The stock servo is $40 and this is $17 and the performance is way better. The stock servo has a stock turning time of 0.17 seconds for a 60 degree turn and this is 0.13 for the same amount of turning. I think it's great!
