Rich/Lean/or Just Right
By looking at the piston and the sleeve can you tell me how the tune is. Been chasing it a little. Ran hot just for a very short time at 300' for just a few seconds. I made it richer and now it stays around 205-235. Just hoping that no damage was done to the motor for the long term. Pictures are below. The truck now has about 20 tanks including the break in process. Please take a look at the front brearing area and let me know if it is leaking from that sealing area.
I can't see your pics, but if the color is golden brown, you're right on with the tune
Looks normal. Looking at the color of the top of the piston, your fine. :) As for the picture of the sleeve, it's too out of focus to tell if it got damaged. As for the crud on the bottom of the engine block, looks like you "could" have a leaking engine bearing. Does fuel get flung around under the shell?
it does appear to have some fuel coming from the seal. It is a good time to get me a set of avid RC bearings. I buy the bearings from a local shop that gives them to me at cost. which is 30% off.
