The wife wanted to have a truck when we went out with the RC's And I had in my mind I wanted to build a 2wd slash so I jumped at the opputunity to build a new truck.
So I painted a chevy flotek body with rattle can, just got to add a few stickers the tamiya cans do't spray so good.
Pro-2 LCG Chassis
Split six wheels/sling shot rears/ slicer fronts
Adjustable body posts
rear Bumper/mud flaps
Aluminum Casters/knucles, steering bell crank, Tie rods
2075 Servo for now
Steel toe links
Sidewinder SCT esc and motor combo 3700kv i tihnk

That may be a first. The mail man should be delivering my pro line package today so I can get started.
I'm not really sure how to mount the body on a 2wd? I might just take the front shocks off and try to fit the body without rubbing while the suspension is fully compressed, it looks like the front wheels will mave back a bit how the a arms are slanted, this is my first 2wd RC ever.
Just waiting on a few more parts.

How did you blend the colors?
I Painted the Black and orange first, with the orange I put less coats on as I moved back and just sprayed the pink in the center, If you had good paint its easy to do but the stupid tamiya cans sometimes let huge blops out. I won't be buying them anymore!
I'll have a slash roller for sale soon as I have upgraded everypart on the truck, I don't even know why I bought a roller I'm addicted to buying parts. but my Pro-2 Chassis came yesterday, I work 12 hour shifts and My sled is in the garage so my time is devoted to snowmobile right now but after the weekend I'm going to put a good dent in it.
Got my pro-2 chassis and gearbox today, now all I need is time to assemble it all
Got some progress on the slash today.
So the RPM rear bumper won't work with the pro 2 chassis
Few more, getting some progress, just got to reinforce the RPM bumper mount, and mount the ESC.
That's one nice slash! I wish you better luck with your pro line trans then I and the others on my race team.
We have all gone back to the stock slash trans.
But the rig your building looks to sweet to race.

That looks great. Do those shocks have the threads or do you use shims?

I and seven others on my race team are not at all happy with the pro line trans.
In fact I spent yesterday on the phone with Mat from pro line.
He is sending us five new trans cases,and mounts,as we have all broken more than one,as someone said (not i)It was a failed attempt,at a good idea.
If more time were taken to produce a better case,that doesn't bind when you try to snug the halves together,and used metal gears for strength not plastic to make it quite.Get a machined aluminum idler,same as traxxas before you try to push it to hard.

great so far, Just but together some pro line gladiators and sand paw/slicer. I'm still waiting on a set of STRC cvd's and RPM adjustable body posts. hope they come in this week.
I'll be starting my slash after christmas. I'm doing small things now, I got a set of rear shocks for the front. and i've been working on my Emaxx as well.
Got the RPM body mounts and I mounted the body, I may have to lower it a small bit more. All is left is to add a few more stickers

I race with a guy that has one. So far its been good for him. The center idler gear gave out at the third race but the track was rough with a lot of loading and unloading of tires under full power. Replace it with a Alum Gear and NO issues since.
He ran the next 6 races with it. Winning most of the Pro2 and some of the Pro Open Classes. Won the Season Points Championship. So I would say the Proline Trans is as good as most any other Plastic Case Trans out on the Market.
I plan to run one in one of my trucks next season. Also going to try the RPM trans in my sons

got one started in the 4x4 section, so far i've just added STRC CVD's to the existing truck
This truck is awesome!
The SCT is actually really smooth, I think the 48 pitch helps a bit as well. but it feels like a sensored motor. Its a fairly cheap set up at that.
The STRC shocks are really nice I love the threaded bodies and no leaks!
The pro line LCG is great the truck is so much more nimble, super easy to drift and donut if you wanted. I just have to go with a heavier oil in the diff, lots of soft dirt here, I got 60k all around my 4x4 now and 500k in the emaxx.
I think the rear shocks will need 40wt oil, 30 seems to be great for the front.

So did you just drill holes in the bottom of your receiver box and put the proline screws through it?
No I used the stock holes, I only put one screw through incase I wanted to use a smaller box later on.
one thing I found that i didn't like is I can't adjust the BEC on the castle SCT I was just about to order a 7v servo, my MMP on the 4x4 has an adjustable BEC, the SCT sidewinder does not.
