It's not really what I did today.. But what I thought about lol.. Is it illegal to drive the slash on the road? Like ON THE ROAD ROAD lol! Either way.. that will be my next vid.. crusin around post lol, stopn' at lights, keeping up with the speed limit.. I think 2s Will work.. wish me luck!
just installed a rpm aluminum parts set , 4 Hpi mk8 2.2/3.0 black chrome wheels with 4 proline badlands tires on my brand new 4x4 slash . im just waiting for the snow now :thumbup:
Well I did it, went on road driving for real with traffic lol I fear though this is only going to build up my level of confidence for recrecklessness so my next attempt on 3s ill hop onto a higher flow of traffic! But here is the video check it out! Today I'm headed out to the track for some runs and maybe another video shoot!

Bought a roller.....
Hooked up a CC BEC to the Mamba Monster so I can get 7.4v to my waterproof Hitec servo and got my order of Avid Revolution bearings in the mail today. Made a custom order to fit with my XO-1 hubs, Kingheadz motor mount and all the others to equip the whole truck!
revo spec slipper clutch....kings head motor mount....blue rpm rod ends clear gear cover big bone drive shaft....monster,shocks and boca bearings next

On a separate issue after running the slash at the track yesterday one I'm gonna need a lot of practice, two I think the diff is a must becAuse every corner I would spin out, like I had way too much power or sumn..the track is soft dirt, I almost feel like I should put the drift pro gyro I the truck to help with cornering lol!

Went to autozone and got some lights! Also installed center diff and removed the slipper clutch can't wait to hit the track again and see the improvements around the corners..

Ran my slash on the street today for the first time since I installed the new castle 2400 and did wheelies till I killed the pack. This motor is KILLER.
Managed to obtain the top speed after one speed run on a slightly inclined street. So hard to control at high speeds. Messed up my GPS big time after a wreck. Too bad my daughter forgot to press the record button for video recording !?!?

I chewed up a spur gear.... imagine that
well ripped my newly purchased 4x4 slash with the big mamba monster 2200kv. it it completely apart now and i am thinking on what i want to do. what do you guys suggest on possibly a different chassis that will hold up with bashing and possibly racing? i honestly have no idea just looking for some advice. thanks.
IDK ArmySSG....looks toooo pretty to race!!!! But for reals, try "soft'n" up your suspension a lil bit.....had the same issue on son's Slash.

@Mr.Bill, it is kinda in the pretty side but I figured if this body gets demolished I could convince the wife for my next purchase and better color scheme.. I've accepted my fate that my slash is a little on the pink more than red side due to the lack of candy red coats before backing it with silver.. Lol.. As far as soften' up the shocks what weight would u suggest?
@ guy that broke his chassis.. There are tons of chassis out there to choose from.. I have the SSC chassis and love it, STRC just came out with one that people are drooling over like the newest Nike shoes lol so u have options it's up to ur price range at this point lol!

Not really what I did but what I ordered.. I've gone with the masses n ordered a STRC Chassis as n Xmas gift to myself and depending on the hype a on road chassis if I don't like it for the track!

I rebuilt both of my diffs.
Clened and lubed ALL bearings. I found this great new place to bash but the dirt is almost fire place soot like and it don't take long for the bearings to get gritty. But man its fun.
Well since mine is in pieces on the living room floor, I need to get it back together so I went to the hobby shop and got a new chassis, new axle(twisted), new center bearing, new axle bearing, new motor mount(that incases the center shaft bearing), and a new set of tires ;). I will try and post some pics later when I get her all together :)
Today I tried driving my MT in 4 inches of fresh powder. Didn't work too well! :(
Thinking about ordering a new Center Diff for the chassis that's coming in, any takers on where and which to buy?

@Mudbeast, are you planning to race or bash? and are u stock right now or are you running a dif setup?
Today I covered the bottom of the STRC chassis with orange and clear vinyl.
Then i use some "U" gasket on the side to help keep the chassis as scratch free as possible.

my pinion gear got loose while i was trying the new 17t pinion i got today, i also got blue aluminum rear axle carriers :) she is looking good now and the right rear tire is straighter since the plastic axle carrier was warped and it was making the tire toe in really far. at least it gave me a reason to upgrade to aluminum :thumbup:
@Birdic nice vinyl job, I was thinking of doing the same when my chassis gets in, however ill do a colored sticka bomb vinyl application similar to the one on my body.. How do u like the drive so far?

Cleaned up my wiring by spooling up the servo and fan wires around a screwdriver.
Still need a new ESC, a Brushless Hobbies 120A is gonna be soon...
But no so soon because I don't have 70 bucks.
