What did you do to your Slash today?

In the Revo section this topic was an awesome way to keep up with everyone's builds etc! So here's what I did/ got for my slash today...

Pro line Flo Tech Body, a flame decal set, and a deans to traxxas connector for my batteries... I'm thinking about doing some chameleon flames but I'm at a loss for the rest of the body!

I ordered the TRCE magnesium adjustable shock towers, they finally got them cut! Ill be putting those in when they get here to see if it helps me tune the D8 shocks any better. Its the last chance for these shocks. If this doesnt do it Im selling them and going back to the SC10 bigbores. Ive tried everything under the sun, every spring combination, several different weight oils, different preloads, different pistons, different everything and still come out with the same result. If its set up for bumps and jumps it sucks in cornering, If its set up where it handles well in the corners it bottoms out on bumps and jumps. Cant find a happy medium.

I cleaned mine for when I go to the track this weekend.

Looked at it, wishing I could buy a new ESC so I can run it... :(

Army, what wheels are you running, I really like the look of those!

Cut out the vent holes on my flo tek body and pondered on additions to the upcoming paint job, I'm still at a loss on how to accent the rest of the body.. Any Ideas?

Won't get to it today but got my first 3s lipos and castle sct 2400. CAN'T WAIT to get it installed.

You will love the 2400 it's pretty boss lol I haven't tried it on 3s yet.. I'm debating between the new GoPro3 or two 3s batteries! The way I figure I can't race on 3s soooo... But I wanna push my truck to the limit occasionally too lol

I soldered my 2400 motor back in my Ultimate and put my Proline Switch tires on the aluminum beadlock wheels

i just unboxed mine then installed a set of proline powerstroke on it :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Today ordered my "boy pee'n on Losi" sticker, hopefully that'll go over well at the track but figured it'd be an awesome edition to the truck.

Still in debate mode on my paint job... Here are my two options..

Chameleon Flames (red to Gold) all black body with either more chameleon flames on the roof and rear fenders or color changing pin stripe box within a box design.

Second Option... Same chameleon flames but instead of an all black body a Candy red with metallic silver and same option flames or pin stripes.. What do you guys think?

Ordered my sticker bomb today as well as a few other decals to complete the paint job!

I was finally able to get off work before dark and get some run time in. Got to give the new tires a good flogging and see what they're capable of.

well lets see today i didnt realy do any thing but yester day i had to squeeze water out of my tires i put stampede wheels that wer intended for 30mph on a slash 4wd intende for 60 haha the wheels came unglued...all of them

Headed to the RC store while on vacation to get some candy red paint, Indy silver, white, n black backer paint also getting the Proline body mount kit, and a screw set... Will post as I get done!

Painted my body... Live and learn x10 lol disappointed in the outcome a little mainly because I'm a perfectionist! While painting the plastic glove I had on nipped the head of the can and caused some drips :-( and I should have done a few more coats of candy before spraying the silver... But it's done will post pics tonmorow! Plus side drove it on 3s for the first time and holy smokes its quick!

Yeesh I remember the first time I took my MERV apart.. Took me at least a day to get it all back together again.. Good luck and while your at it get some rit dye and black that chassis out!

It does take a while but it is so fun...like cleaning my Kimber 1911.
I have the STRC LCG chassis on the way so I will just leave this in piece until it arrives.

Simple green to the rescue :thumbup: I'm very **** about cleaning my 4x4..I'm constantly doing it at the track and its turned back to a show room state when I get home

Installed my Hobbywing SC8 waterproof and 1900kv motor for some high voltage snow drifting!

Finally Finished my decals and installed some headlights, taillights, and working turn signals and reverse lights lol!

Are those the new cvd's in the rear of your truck? If so, how do you like them? Do they take a good beating and still hold up?

I put a set of XO-1 axles on mine and changed the diff oil... Bought two new 2S, 30-60C, 5800MAH hardcase lipos for $70... Going for the Robinson racing gen3 slipper next and a kingheadz motor mount and bearing adapter... Tekin RX8 to follow shortly... lol

Complete tare down to make her smooth as butta

Mjg44 u may not like the rr gen3 I have it Of advice is to rough up the rear clutch plate because it doesn't hold that well from the factory make sure you dip the clutch plate itself in alcohol to remove any impurities or it will not hold

My TRCE build is officially completed. Installed TRCE magnesium adjustable shock towers. Ive played a bit with the adjustments trying to tune in the D8 shocks. Much better with the adjustable towers. I got some improvement but now its snowing so all I can do is laps in the basement, 30x40 indoor oval with a blind spot where the stairs come down in the middle.... LOL

I Agree with Chevy I'd love to see the basement track with the TRCE Setup lol... maybe a vid of any blind spot fail moments..

I trashed my slash today, not exactly sure how, just giving it the normal abuse thats its use to. Anyway I have ordered a stock one all ready to get me back in action. Just a quick question while i'm talking about chassis's does anyone know if I could use my kingshead motor mount on the rally/slash lcg chassis????? Yea it's about that time for a new one.. I have the SSC chassis but I know STRC just came out with a new chassis too I think the guys name is steve or wdyj or something like that.. it's all over the forum though..

But on a different topic. Does anyone run a gyro on there slash? Like the drift pro? I was wondering if it'd work for corners at the local track leaving the slipper in instead of the diff?

Yeah Mr Bill must have been, not exactly sure which one done the damage as I only noticed it when I lost drive to the front wheels and I picked up truck to see what was going on.

Mounted up the GoPro and did some street runs... 2s is awesome on the track but now that I've experienced 3s I'm gonna have to invest in one for Xmas lol
