Cinna's emaxx "brushless edition"

I picked up a 3905 from 4sdash last weekend, and had big plans for it. The truck was already dyed black, and I was happy because I was not looking forward to tearing it down for dye..

Mamba monster
2200kv traxxas/castle motor (to follow the black theme)
2.4ghz tqi radio
Traxxas center cvds
Proline raptor svt body

So far I've only run the truck on 4s with 21/68 gearing and I love it.

thats a nice looking body you got there ;) you should think about getting shock covers to keep it all blacked out, bad horsie makes some really nice quality ones :thumbup:

It won't do it... I'm good at back flips off of trees, and by good I mean terrible and tend to break bulkheads in half within the first 24hrs of owning it

good point i didnt think about that little tid bit i know it wont do it on 4s but mabey 6s you never know

Just lost a rear ring and pinion. Looks like a pinion bearing failed, and chewed up the ring gear. Time to build diffs.

Wow. Cinna, your E-Maxx looks really hot - nice work! The black Raptor with tinted windows, something I've never been able to do well, really sets the truck off.

How do you like the black-dyed chassis? I've grown to like the grey but I originally thought black was best.

I really like the black chassis, everything that was grey, is dyed black (bulkheads, skids, etc)

I really like the raptor shell too. The tinted windows really set it off, it looks awesome in person. Pictures don't do it justice.

Well, the rear diff failed on saturday. Doing some pretty hard asphalt launches. Actually appears that a pinion bearing failed, messing with the pinion/ring mesh.

Thats a bummer on your diff. Both front and rear did the same thing on one of my maxx trucks. The 6x12mm Pinion bearings dont hold up very good. I rebuilt mine using HR alum. diff cups, integy alum. cases and avid bearings. Hopfully hold up a little better.

cinna watch out for those trailers man they dont play nice with maxxes

The wheel with least traction spins too easily. I'm going to rebuild with 80-100 next time

Picked up some new shoes for the emaxx. Still undecided if they're really for me or not though, parts of me say they're too big, than parts of me tell me it looks badass. Let me know what you think..

And while at the lhs picking up my shoes for the emaxx, I found this gem on the consignment shelf. The guy apparently brought it in minutes before I walked in. When I saw it, the ink was still wet on the price sticker. And than it was sold to sir Cinnabun. I couldn't say no, the price I got it for is insanely low. Funny story, the lhs owner was laughing when I walked in and bought it. He said he was just talking about how he knew either me or 4sdash were going to buy the car, only a matter of who got there and saw it first. Lucky for me, 4sdash walked in about 10 minutes after I got there.

There isn't a scratch on the thing, and I stole it for $275 rtr!!!!!!!

Any of you embe guys know what my gearing should be on 4s? I'm currently at 21/68 and its way too happy on the back wheels...

I'm geared 20-65 with trencher X's and it is fast but I can tell it has more in it
I thought mine were to big at first but after driving it I love the traction they get

I got the trenchers on mine. The traction they get are great. Especially if you do the whole ballooning proofing thing

I bought them premounted, however I was looking at the o-ring trick. I havent run into a ballooning issue on 4s with just backyard bashing.

So the emaxx got traded to 4sdash. I'll still see the truck every weekend. We traded my embe for a savage flux hp with xl conversion.

While I don't really like how HPI have managed the brand, I'm sure you'll love the Flux.

I'm going to miss the truck so much. But I'm sure ill be happy with the flux also. I'll still lurk here, maybe even pick up another embe, I tend to trade rc cars quite a bit
