I have new lipo batteries , that I wana put traxxas connecters on, I have seen many video on how to do it but , none show which solder to use, an is flux a must to use when soldering lipo batteries ? Why or why not

I use the lead free
fine electrical rosin core solder & extra flux paste to get things flowing...
96% tin, 4% silver
If you are new to soldering, I'd suggest a standard 60/40 tin/lead composition. Lead-free solders may be saving our world but they can be harder to use. Additionally, though silver solders are better conductors, a good solder joint is much more important.
I much prefer liquid flux to the paste type.

Thinking about the life expectancy of any RC product, the slight corrosiveness associated with flux products should not be a huge concern. ;)
