Hey all any idea if the red summit piston is the same size as the black one for the revo and slash
What part are you calling a piston??
As far as I know, all the pistons that the 16th platform have are black... and the same size; except for possibly the holes in them that let the shock oil flow.
The summint piston is a red two hole piston.
My reason for the question is the shock bodies (after market) are 15mm bigger in bore size then the stock piston
The bodies r for a revo or slash.
So i was not sure if the manufacter cut them wrong or the bore size is different between the two shocks
the bore in stock summit is 7.70mm piston is 7.60mm
The after market bore was 7.95mm so blow by is extream
If anyone could get me a mesurment for the black pistons it would help me getting to the bottom of this

Just found all the part numbers for the bodies and rebuild kits r the same so the manufacter
Screwed up and thats why they were so cheap sorry to bug ya all

Now we all just found out that Traxxas used another color besides black for their stock pistons. lol
I dont want to mention the manufatures name but it would b nice if anyone with a pair of the hot selling shock bodies with the screw on bottom cap do a mesurment of the aftermarket bore for me i know i will just bite the bullet and buy them but if anybody has

Why don't you want to mention the brand??
There are very few that are banned and as far as I know, the banned brands do not make shocks for this platform.
HR aluminum shock bodies. I have them and I will say by no means is the red summit piston a perfect fit. I wish I had a way to measure them for you.

Hit local hobby town and the revo piston is 7.60mm so the hot racing body will let alot of blow by such a shame they,
well mine r cut to large really a bummer
