Vintage Traxxas RCCA Articles

Ok Traxxas vintage fans, I have good news :). Today I found a website that has very high quality scans of Radio Control Car Action magazines from 1986 to 2005. If you are interested you will need to download them and then use WinZip to access the files in PDF.

The Traxxas SRT article can be found in the February 1995 issue.
Traxxas TCP - October 1995
TRX-3 - November 1993
LS-II - September 1993
TRX-1 - February 1992
Blue Eagle-LS - October 1992

If anyone knows the year and month RCCA did an article on other vintage Traxxas vehicles post it here so we can have a reference.

It's been a few years since I last checked, but you could view every page of every RCCA magazine on their website. I think you had to purchase a subscription though.

This is true you did have to pay a subscription. Not sure about the wildcat..??

I downloaded and saved these a while back from a fella on rc10talk, when the links were still available.

Nice ad! I miss flipping through magazines and seeing those Traxxas ads. Nowadays they have a 50+ or 70+ description instead of the "National Champion" status.:((

BTW, when and where did the TRX-1 sweep the A through E mains at a ROAR National Championship?:unsure: That's news to me.................even though I read and believed that ad back in the early 90's.:lol:

That must have been the largest gathering of Traxxas cars at a race since the start of SCT racing.:lol::lol::lol:

Did I just die and go to Traxxas heavan? ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ Can anyone provide more info on the Traxxas Fiero GTP??? I've never seen anything like that before... Maybe just a concept?

I have the SRT article on my computer. I love it! The truck still look so beautiful. What happen to Traxxas???

What I like about these old pictures...the truck fits the environment and how detail they are. would do anything to go back in those days and have that very moment. Rc today doesn't feel the same.

I'm sorry to rain on the parade, but I had to edit and delete several posts in this thread.

While I am not an expert on copyright law, I'm quite positive that scanning a magazine and reproducing those images (e.g. by posting them on-line) is against the law. Magazines, including their words and images, are protected under copyright laws and should not be reproduced without the copyright owner's (or owners') permission. Given that RCCA required people to have a paid subscription to view older magazines, I'm guessing that all of the images in this thread were reproduced without their expressed permission.
