Spartan Trailer build
I have not seen any posts on anyone building a trailer...started with one 8 foot piece of 1/4 c-channel and made two 45 degree cuts and two 22.5 degree cuts and ended up with this

Then used some clamps and some JB weld and this is where I am today.

Doing axle tubes and axles today and mounting the E-maxx wheels to the trailer! More pics to come.

bump for update
I am looking into this. I was thinking about using 1/16 wheels. what are you using?
-
I have 1/10 scale wheels and tires (stock Slash stuff) on mine. The 1/16 may look a bit small for scale size wheels and tires on that size trailer, but what the heck... Give it a look.
-
got my trailer 95% done. just waiting on the wheels to get here.

Excellent job. What are you going to use for a suspension?
-
Looking good so far... What size and type of tire have you chosen to use?
Did or are you going to put any felt on the boat support rails? Can't tell from your picture.
-
I'm using slash wheels and nothing on the rails yet.
-
Rims to match the trailer or boat?
-
I got the chrome with the chrome band. I wanted the blue bands but it don't look like the right blue.
-
I'm sure it will look great when completed...
I bought some RPM Slash tail light pods and will be adding them after the week end.
-
what are the dimension of the trailer?
-
Check out Trailcom on Facebook. Or ssdunlimited.com
custom welded steel, powder coated trailers. Fairly priced.

I built a trailer for my spartan too. Nice trailer you have. My trailer is just a frame of a broken rc truck (that my friend, Wesley, found in a ditch on the side of the road), wood, wood, wood, and guess what. MORE WOOD!!! All you need now is a good suspension.
-
Have been an owner of a spartan for just over a week now, this thread has inspired me to build my own trailer, i finished this past weekend and took pics through out the build. ill post pics asap
-
Are you able to put it on your rc car?

I apted out of using a suspension system and went with a much simpler "walking" tandem axle. I launched and loaded it with my summit at the local beach and it works great. The deck boards align perfect with the hull so it doesn't matter if you drive on at an angle they straiten the boat right out.
