From 3s to 2s, got some questions

So yesterday i asked if it is possible to remove a bad cell from lipo.
People told me yes, it is, and it is very dangerous. Well my battery was a 3s 5000mah 25c.
I have completed the procedure of removing 1 cell and do the rewiring. Everything went fine.
Now my question is, If removing 1 of the cells from lipo does the MAH stays the same ? just a different voltage ?

Are they wired is series or parallel.

Series will double the voltage, parallel with double the Mah, i think............

Correct. The pack should be reading about 8.4v when fully charged now if it's wired in series.

well if i did everything correctly then i saved my self 30$... that was my idea to remove the bad cell and run my Emaxx with 4s 500 mah, before it was 5s 5000 mah... now, i wish nothing is going to happen to my esc by running this battery

you got it, the mAh stays the same the voltage went from 11.1 to 8.4v
The ESC will be just fine...prob run a little cooler at 5s insted of 6s....
