New slash, replaced pinion gear, car now won't accelerate.

Hi guys,

I am very new to the world of rc cars, and this is my first vehicle, being the slash 4x4.

I recently installed the other pinion gear while following an online tutorial.

Car would not accelerate, and esc has a red light. I put the other gear back in but there is still a red light and no acceleration. Any ideas on what I could have done, and how to fix it ?

That sounds odd! Try recalabrating it .

If that doesn't work, your gear mesh might be too tight.

Is the gear mesh the space between the pinion and spur?

If so, it makes a slight noise while moving, I can't seem to get it to be silent, because then when I move the engine into place they are no longer touching.

Also, by recalibrating, do you mean to hold down ESC button until it flashes red one time, and then release? If so, I have alrady done that.

Yes about recalibrating the esc. You can't have the gears too close together. Some people use a piece of paper bot I make sure that there is some wiggle in between the gears.
