I've tried many times I get to the end(i believe) but it doesn't seem to link. Anyone have a idea of what I'm doing wrong? Also I tried reversing the trottle as its backwards on my jato and I hate it. Again I get to what I believe is the end but it doesn't take. At what point is the link button on the reciever used?
The LINK button on the Rx is only used to bind the Tx and Rx.
Once bound, the button is not used again.
Your manual should have a menu tree in the back on how to reverse the throttle servo.
This process starts and ends with a 4 second menu press on the Tx... it has nothing to do with the Rx.
Tx = Transmitter... Controller
Rx = Receiver
Guess I wasn't holding button when I tried reversing the throttle. & wasn't sure when to press link on rx when I tried linking. I'll try some more. Thanks for input
I would start by resetting your controller.
You may have done quite a few things without even realizing it.
Hold both menu and set on the controller
While holding menu and set, turn the controller on
Release menu and set
--Red LED will blink on the controller
Press menu two times
--Red LED will blink 3 times
Press set on the controller
--LED will turn into a solid green light
~~You have just reset the controller!!
Now, to rebind the Tx and Rx...
Controller is off
Press and hold the controllers set button
As you are holding the set button, turn on the controller on
Release the set button
--LED will blink red
RC is off
Press and hold the receiver's link button
As you are holding the link button down, turn the RC on
Release the link button
The LED on both the controller and receiver should turn green
Once they do, they are bound.
Once they are bound, the link button on the receiver is not used anymore.
Once you are to this point, let me know if anything needs to be reversed... or changed.
Thank you! I'll try here shorty.
SWEET! I bound it to a differant tx & throttle was still reversed,I then cleared settings & throttles now how it should be. Thanks you da man!
I kinda figured the Tx needed reset to factory...
factory settings should be pull for throttle, push for brake.
Steering sometimes needs reversed, but hardly ever throttle.
I bought it used & previous owner had it reversed for some odd reason. I've been switching all my trucks to the new reciever so I can run everything from one tx. I have the newest tx coming so hopefully it'll bind the same way?
Tx or Rx...
Rx goes in your vehicle... if you want the same controller to operate multiple vehicles, you need multiple Rx's.
They will all bind the same way.
I have the new TQi tx coming. I've read it'll work with the 2218 & 2218x recievers that I've been upgrading my older junk with.
They'll link up just fine.
Yeah thanks to you now i know how. Lol
Sweet got the new TQI controller today. No docking station but I dont need that right now anyhow.
