Just got 2 servos in the mail, NO excitements whatsoever because I had to wait for about 2 months for these.
It's NOT worth the way:thumbdown:
Again, I hope Traxxas coming out with a metal gear water proof servo.
What servos? My guess is ******* 390?

LOL.. I don't think they can do anything about it considering they let you have it, but thats too bad about the defective Merv.
I sent mine back to traxxas cause it was defective.
ps. Will I get banned for having this name?
FWIW, this thread was just fine and I was about to post when I saw the OP's other account (with a very inappropriate and offensive name) pop up. Unfortunately this lack of discretion, common courtesy and plain common sense has caused him to lose posting privileges on both accounts.
oh I see, well he was bound to get band with a name like that either way
whats his other account name? I wonder
I missed all the action lol. I'm glad this thread is not against the rules!! I test fit my batteries today and I'm gonna cut a chunk of my battery doors off for them to fit well.

I took my mash out back to test it's jumping capabilities, to the park on a little family stroll and around the block.. nice out today :D just when I was starting to get used to the cold

Just cut my battery doors to make my SPC batteries fit! I might buy new doors and make the wires come out of the front battery vents instead. Im gonna try a few things out.

This might be too early to ask but, are the battery door hinges holding up ok? I have a set of Rhino 3S LIPOs that look to be about the same size and the hinges keep breaking on the doors. I clipped the ends of the doors like you did to accommodate the power cables and the doors can shut without too much effort.
If you or anyone else has / had this issue, any recommendations for upgrades? Or is this a normal thing when using larger LIPOs?
Im on my third set of battery doors now. ***** 2S 2200 20C and the wider ******* 2S 2200 35-70C kill the hinges over time.
Integy <_< has alu battery doors (part-no T3428) with a "hollowed out" design that are a tad wider. But i think they might be heavy, although adding weigth downlow might not be that bad..
I don't know why korn0307 has to cut the batt. doors.
I've been running with the same batt. for a couple months already, and don't need to do any mod.
I to have thought about getting the Integy doors.
If they were a little cheaper.... I would probably have them already.
I want those too, pretty rip off price right now
I found a nice big hill about 20 ft high, I tried to go from the top and land near the bottom but on an angle to go down the hill...
ended up nose diving at the bottom  nothing broke though so that's cool, it was just a big FAIL! lol

:) same boat. At least the doors are no a structural part of the car, so it could be safe to use some Integy alu..
Weight might not be a problem if you're already BB'ed.
After some more thoughts, wider batteries might not be the actual problem my hinges are failing after time. Its simply that the thin plastic material eventually has to give up getting bent back and forth every time you open the batt doors. After x cycles open/close = break.
My merv is still basically new so no problems with the hinges yet.
Hskb, I couldnt get mine to fit. Plus i wanted the wires to come out the front. Im gonna get new battery doors and trim them. I cut way too much off because im a noob lol.
I have more problems with them popping out of the chassis than anything else.
Really? Mine were a pain in the butt to get off lol.
Mine pop off with every tumble.
The mushroom tape on them and the body hold everything together so I at least do not have LiPo's flying everywhere.

I put the battery in the way like you did in the picture, but i let the balance wire/connector out together with the main batt. wires (balance wires on top of main wires), and I am able to close the batt. door properly.
Just a sanity check, are we talking about the 30c 2500mAh right?
Yes lol they are the 2500 30C 2s lipos. I tried putting them in normal and i couldnt get them to fit like you did. But i gave up fast cuz i wanted them out of the front anyways.
Why dont you guys put a dab of super glue on the tabs? Or use velcro instead of the doors?
velcro on the batteries?
lol what do you mean use velcro?
I got 4 of them as my first lipos, but 2 of them are still in the shipping wraps. Might use in series to make 4s for my other truck.
Mine are unwrapped but i havent ran them. Im gonna charge them up tomorrow so they are ready to go on saturday. I kinda dont even wanna run my merv till i get my bb because it felt soo underpowered last weekend when i accidentally ran it in series wile bashing.
Put a piece on top and bottom, then put the other piece on them creating like a 'strap' covering the battery compartment.
I haven't tried it but it seems like it might work, I've heard of other people doing something similar
I'm heading over to the high school nearby with my dog for a little night bash :D
Like on the chassis above and below then put a piece of velcro on to hold the battery in?
Im in the army and the velcro on my uniform is annoying enough to make me avoid velcro at all costs lol.
