I went to the hardware store & found reg 6mm washers.

In short they are close, but I don't think they will work, OD is to big.

Great info. I have seen some of it.
Your build is awesome!!
-
Will the motor hinge mod work with a m5? that is all lowes had in stock
-
For some reason Lowes and HD dont carry a good small bolt assortment. Try to find a Small local hardware store. They seem to have the good stuff.
-
Try Tractor Supply or Orscheln's both are farm stores. I went to Orscheln's, 5mm will be close but I don't think so.. to small.
I should have let all the bubbles come out of the diff cup (carrier). I think there was just enough air to cause a prob. So to try something new, I'm not the first to do this, Lock the differential (rear). I have a few spares so the first diff, took it a part & cleaned it up, used break cleaner. Propoxy 20 is a two part epoxy putty, sets up in 20 min. Break off a piece roll & fold the puddy until the streaks are gone. Press some firmly in the bottom of the cup then place the gears in & top of with a little more. Then finish assemble. Like I said it sets up in 20 min, I have it in Sumrevo already & have a short run today over some rocks & I think I am going to really like this set up, what a difference... Ebay this> http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=propoxy+20&_sacat=See-All-Categories
I also did a diff with JB Weld, a little easier to fill the diff cup (carrier). JB Weld is also a two part epoxy, steel & hardner, use equal amounts & mix. I used an allen wrench & a plastic lid to stir it on. Same process take it apart clean, fill cup about half, set in the gears & top off & finish assembly. I just finished & the JB weld is starting to set up but I think it will take at least another day to set up. I am not worried about the drive shafts. One I have alot of spares & two I'm not runnung a BL system yet.

How are your diffs holding up? I'm thinking about doing the same thing. Great thread BTW.
-
SumRevo is doing fine, I never put a BL system on it. I left the brushed system on it so I can play in wet weather..
The Locked rear diff is doing good (prob because of the brushed system). Sence I have the other locked diff I'm thinking of putting it in the front as well... Turning will be Terrible, but it is more of a cralwer anyways. My Summit will not be happy, if I do....lol I have been "slowly" working on a "little" project. Trying to get it done before I post it.

THANKS....:)

Thanks 87 GN, I'm building something similar to your SumRevo with a titan 775 and a Summit transmission. I had almost half a truck in spare parts so I thought I may as well put them to good use. I'll definitely be trying your diff locking method, thanks for the idea.

Gorilla Tape came out with three inch tape. So I bought a set of Geode 3.8 chrome rims p/n TRX 5671, & powder coated them. Also bought a new set of Talon 3.8 p/n TRA 5370 tires. Turned the tires inside out, to tape them. I put the foam in, to help hold the shape of the tire better, worked quite well. The tape did not lay as well as I would have liked, a few fold overs on the outer edge.. but it turned out ok....The sidewall protector.. beadlock style, are painted with Patra orange. For a little project..I've been working on......:)

Good looking Truck....For show only?
-
Thanks..
Just the body & tires, rest of the truck has had it's share of broken parts.
The sun makes it look kind of two tone yellow<_<
-
Wow what a great build,I realy like the paint in the last few shots. Is that some kind of keeper system for holding on to the body clips,if so I sure could use something like that.I lost a couple of clips in the grass,I couldent find them but im sure the mower will.I was nervous about changing out my spur gear the other day, then I looked at your build, man ive got a long long ways to go in the learning curve.I guess thats what these forums are for,an endless supply of good quality info.Enjoy the ride it looks like it was a fun project.
-
Looks good next body you paint try using Parma Liquid Mask it works good no fooling with tape required.
-
some old Fly fishing string, tied to the body clips....
the wind was blowing, like usual.. blowing the strings up...
I will get a better pic inside tonight....
had read about the liquid mask, just using painters tape, & had the KTM screen printed, on Lamenting paper.
it did keep me out of trouble for a few hrs...

I went & bought some 24mm hubs a few weeks ago. They are HPI 102530 Savage wheel hubs to mount Baja 1/5 tires.
I also bought a Losi 5ive T, these are the tires off the 5ive T. Losi made the rims hubs about .100 wider. So the HPI hubs are not wide enough to fully screw the hub nut on.
I'm going to buy some ProLine HPI 5B Rear Bow Tie Tires on Black Desperado Rims p/n PRO115113.
Becasue I already have the stub shaft spacers all I had to do is put the hubs on..Not to worried about wheel wobble, I don't have any prob's with the 17mm hubs...now.....I prob will not run these very often, one they are huge, Seven inches, a bit heavy, & I prefer my Badlands... Might have to put them on my Summit.....a taller tire might be nice.

You will not be disappointed they work top notch! Highly recommended no slop cure for sure. I'd also order one of these bad boys while your at it might as well wont raise the shipping charge helps keep the motor tight in place

Nice, loving the looks/mods you've done here. Really makes me consider trading or selling my FLM built EMBE and get a Revo.

I had a FLM Maxx with custom alum skid & a few other thing I built. Hated it so much I never ran it, parted out & sold it all.

I'm thinking about doing the same thing. Between RPM arms, RPM mounts, RPM skids, FLM chassis/center dogbones, FLM ultimate hybrid bulks, MIP CVD's, Summit bumpers, Big Joes on Tech 5's, Trenchers on Axial 8 spokes, I could keep the Electronics and sell a pretty nice roller. Then buy a revo/summit roller and build that up. I'm just tired of the little things that seem to keep occurring over and over. Might put it up for sale, have to think about it. Already have Summit body that I've modified my EMBE to work with.
