Brushless Motor Help
I have the Velineon brushless system and have been using the stock 8.4 volt 3000mah bateries the truck came with. the truck is fast and has alot of torc. I Broke the whole axel on the left side of the truck because the motor is heating up so hot it melts the plastic. Is the velineon brushless a 540 size motor? Im not sure about which motor fits (still new to slash). But a lot of folks use MIP's for upgraded axles. I use them and so far so good. No complaints

If you have melting plastic from motor heat, something is very wrong, and a fan will not do anything to help that. You're actually damaging the motor magnets at those temps. Check for binding and gear down.

Integy cvd's are trash. I run 4s on the MMP SCT 2400 setup with stock driveshaft's, proper slipper adjustment and not break's yet. Knock's on wood.

Dirt, do you have a 4x4 slash? I read on Tower that system is not compatible with Slash 2wd or any 2wd? Is that true?
If so, what brushless set-up would you suggest? Can i run brushed motors on MMP ESC's? I would like to be able to run my stock TITAN, maybe in stock races.

can anyone give me a link to those axels? What is a good gear ratio for speed and torc?

Do a search for 'MIP CVD SLASH'. Online stores and most shops have them. They run about $30.
I cant insert links from my phone...:(
