I've cracked/broken the plastic housing twice now. Unfortunately it was my fault both times, as I hit immovable objects at high speed  . AMain hobbies has for them instock and for $3-4 each.
I was just wondering because I haven't hit any objects yet but have had it jump sum bmx jumps nothing to big but it cracked just thinking maybe a part to stock up on.
Mine broke too. but went to local hobby shop and got a new one.

+1 --- I fixed it once and distroyed it again .... Castle's 2400 is a part breaker when in the hands of the inexperianced.

Add me to the list... Fortunately I had a spare in my kit so I was up and running again quite quickly.
That was the first part I broke in 2010!
I haven't broken one...yet...now that's probably the next part I will break :)
Not yet. I only seem to power slide into static objects and end up breaking all of the rear suspension parts. I might have to add that housing to my spare parts kits though.
FYI guys .... eBay has a good selection of complete diffs AND housings for decent prices.
I just installed both the frt and rear assemblies which included the skid plates.
