Tops
Don't get me wrong the RB is a very fast engine but it lacks a little bit in top speed.
But it has too much accerelation allowing it to do wheelies.
The top speed is still faster then the TRX but i want more. I have a 16/36 gearing and my RB still reaches High RpM's too fast, allowing it not to reach high speeds.
So i'm going to adjust the Two speed later.
Thanx
No there's no binding.
I guess i will have to get the WIDE GEAR RAtio and go to a 18/36 gearing if i want Top speed.
-
top speed is nearly the same as the trx. if you really want high speed get a real big block so you can use a 20 tooth cluch bell. thats when you see 60 mph
-
Wouldn't this servo work well for stering and fit the revo.
I'm still using the stock radio system.
Would it work
SERVO: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&W=000764251&I=LXGZU0&P=K
-
No, that will not fit in the revo. The servo case is much larger than a standard case and it will not fit in the slot on the revo.
-
i have the Hitec HS-5645MG and have been running it for about a year..the torque is 168oz and the speed is .18 which is a little a little faster then the two stock servos but only has 8 more oz of torque.so for the money you cann't beat it.
-
where r u Tornado this thread is getting boring.

Might wanna check your Revo's Temp. Looks a little green around the gills. LOL jk I like the color choice actually. :D
-
thats a tm with about 2 gallons on it. Gearing for it is 16/36 but I am probly going to try 17 or 18 tooth clutch bell. I cant keep the front end tame. My next color of choice is probly going to be pink. I think it would just be hilarious to get beaten by a pink truck.
-
I almost did a double take until I realized it didn't have enough green. ;)

those are RD Racing axle carriers with RD Racing 23mm adapters with there 8mm stub axle.
-
sup MR SHIVERS,
have you noticed any extreme wear on your rd carriers?
i have one pivot ball (titanium) that took out a carrier.
-
Chris,
That is one long wheelbase, how are the swayback arms just by themselves? Id rather just go that route instead of cutting up my pink chassis.
-
That is an extended chassis and the setback arms. You can see the weld in the chassis if you look closely and the longer distance between the front shock mount and the tranny.
-
Long? True! We jokingly call it the Limo Revo around here. I set it up that way for the HUGE track at SV Speedway out in Cali. I typically run it with the shorter setting on the arms with the extended chassis but haven’t changed it back yet.
The arms by themselves with a stock chassis length are incredible. Until you actually drive an extended Revo on the track it's hard to comprehend what a difference it makes. The great thing about the arms though is that there are tracks the shorter setting is the hot setup and in 10 minutes you can have it changed. I will be surprised if you see any Revo at the track without the extended arms on them.
No problem with the axles or the hub carriers Brian, I run the Ti pillow balls as well.
It's no F3, but then again its actually built to race ;)
Chris
-
hey chris.....can you give us a clue when those setback arms might be available to the public ???
-
Sounds sick Chris, I have just about everything for my set-up, now all I'm missing are those arms, gotta pre-order a set. (is that a modded 2.5?)
TEX, they should be out within the next 2 weeks, tower is saying early december.
-
chris is that the green machine????
kevin??
-
Tex, they should be available shortly. As soon as they are released it will show up on the main page.
Izze, no that one is bone stock. I do have a modded one Dace did that will be going back in the truck. No need to run anything else :D
-

Why make this comment JR?
Remember what ya boy says about them tots and aid.....lol
How did you do in SV?

Tops, I just had to get a friendly jab in :p
Finished mid pack in the B. Every mechanical gremlin that could of bit me through the weekend did. No excuses though, those guys were on their A game and if you weren't it was tough to keep up. In hindsight I should of stayed with what I know and not made any changes to the truck leading up to the race.
I can live with 13th in the nation though for my first year racing a full schedule in the Pro Series and it just gives me something to work towards next year.

13th is not bad at all.... Good job!!!
I guess I would have finished 12th, cause we finished 1,2(in the b main) in round 3 south.... J/K lol
I asked how you did in SV and you told me how you did in the nation.... It's all good though....

Tops, you read like you drive :P. Action is one of my favorite tracks, but for some reason it doesn't like me. Never had a good run there.

Been doing some Oval testing for the Snowbirds as there's not much off-road here during the winter.
