Come on, o0o_traxxas_o0o, they won't take me seriosuly if everyone starts saying, "ooh me too". Give me a chance.

but i really want to. REALLY

Seems like a big responsibility. I dont really notice anything bad happening in the Villain forum, so what would you need to moderate?

Just answer questions and report anything, etc. You know me pretty well, T-MAXX, put in a good word for me. http://www.traxxas.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Well if traxxas does this i would hope no one went power mad and just edited post because it wasn't written right or just as a goof or deleted threads all willy nilly or started to think they are better then others because they are now mods of a board. i have seen all this happen before as a admin of two sites all now closed because of bad MB's and a mod of message boards i know what it is like and why i step down as a mod too.

I'm sure that you know your stuff about Traxxas vehicles but lets keep the moderating to the professionals, you know, the people that design, build, test, work, and own traxxas vehicles... The Traxxas employees!

It would be better with volunteer moderators, because I answer far more questions than the moderators; like you said, they have buiding, designing, and testing to do. Look at HPI, their biggest forum is run by a volunteer moderator.

u dont need to be an employee to moderate a message board. i can answer any question you want at me (no, not model numbers!) and ill answer it. and anyway volenteers whats to loose for traxxas??????????????

I say let him do it.I mean he is onw of the 2 champoins so he has to know atleast well a whole boat load.Plus he said if u have read it and i quote "Don't just post junk you won't gain any respect that way."
I say let o0o_traxxaso0o do it too. I think that most people on here are going to want to be moderators just to have a higher rank than everyone else.

CChase86 made champion by posting alot that is not saying he doesn't know alot about r/c just that he posted alot in two months to reach that level to have that nifty little monicker under his screen name.
And also opening up a message board that has never had volunteer moderators will make alot of envy among posters and alot of people will post alot of pointless messages just to gain a higher post count if they can't be a moderator they will atleast have a higher post count. and alot of people will be saying that they should be a moderator out in the open boards and in private messages to the moderators of the boards and i don't think they will want alot or messages saying i should be one not this person or that person. i say leave it the way it is. the people moderating now are doing a great job and handle all the problems that pop up and help those who need it.

Don't get mad at my thoughts....But I think you should let Traxxas Employees do their jobs. It would kind of suck if they let some guy volunteer for being a moderator and one day he gets mad at someone and jus banish him from traxxas or do something stupid over personal feelings towards someone. I'm not judging you in anyway, I'm jus saying what I think!!

Just like bigdaddykaleo said their is always that to worry about some one getting one the nerves of this volunteer moderator and this volunteer moderator who ever he or she may be takes it apon their self to edit or delet posts at random or worst ban some one just because that person may have said something that the moderator doesn't agree with. or to another degree the moderator gets p/o'ed at traxxas over something and starts deleting all the posts and messing things up. their are to many things that can happen with volunteer moderators that can go wrong so i believe the message boards should be left to traxxas employees.

Thank you Michael for agreeing with me...it should be left to the proffesionals to handle it...it will be the safest way....Plus why do you want to be a Moderator anyway...why can't you jus answer questions in there for who you are now...jus a regular guy and not some employee with higher power like...editing,deleting post and even baning members....Jus a question!!

I'll agree with that. I didn't even know moderators could edit, ban, or delete people and their messages, but I wouldn't do that unless it was very necessary.
I just thought it might be cool, guess not. Oh well...

if they had volenteer moderators they could still let the employees have more power over us and then can ban us and stuff.

You don't need to be a moderator to answer questions and help people out. Over time, the experienced guys standout and we are happy they are there to help us answer questions. We see it and appreciate the help! The Traxxas employee's moderator's rights are there to get rid of the trouble makers. You Traxxas guys are pretty well behaved so there only needs to be a few guys with that capability.

yes people on this board are pretty well behaved. I was on the hpi board and there was a "flame war" that started every hour or every other hour.
don't jump in front of a train, they hurt
