1. It comes with a slide card, at least for the T-Maxx. I am guessing that it comes w/slide carb for the 4-Tec, that makes sense. what about the Rustler? slide or are they gonna make a rotary carb version? well, the slide linkage kitswill be cool.

2. can you get the 2.5 earlier than Nov. by trading $105 now? will someone form Traxxas clarify if you can really upgrade like that?

3. motor mounts, new cool ones?

4. What parts are the same, if any? con rod looks way different. what about the back plate, is it the same? how about the split bev cone, surely you can use that same part nbr and clutch nut.

5. Exhaust: are they standard sizes for aftermarket or is it new? i am talkin about silicone round couplers and headers.

anyway, I'm in.

i just don't want to wait, i want my 2.5 now.

ok i will try to answer the best i can but...

1. Yea it come whit a slide carb from what i see on the picture but a slide carb can be fitted on rustler very easily

2. The 105$ trading seem to be a myth but some recent news seem the say it's possible. but the engine was anouced at 200$ and the other price rest to be anounced

3. I must agree that the blue one are cool but i don't thing they will give them w/ the engine because old one are supposed to fit!

4. This engine is completly new, I don't think any part has been copied from pro .15

5. FOr the header you will need traxxas one but you will be able to use the pipe of your choice

If i'm wrong just tell me!

1) It should come with a slide carb, even for the NR. The conversion kit will include the linkage, header, and any other needed stuff.

2) I don't think they will ship them out any earlier, but I've been told thet Big L says $100 + TRX pro .15 + $5 shipping = New TRX 2.5.

3) No new mounts, because it doesn't need new mounts.

4) Everything about it is different, except the glow plug, and clutch assembly (from the split cone to the e-clip). The pilot shaft will require a different nut however, but that would be in the conversion kit.

5) This engine uses a new type of header that is bolted to the engine, all other round port headers are held in with a spring. The coupler will be the same... (I sure hope they don't go back to a J tube)

Wonder what the conversion kit will cost. That will cost some extra $$'s.

The best bet would buy an old ragged out TRX pro.15 and trade it in on the new 2.5. Then you can keep your good Pro.15 for backup or whatever else.
