Hello,
I own a electric stampede, And Im always replacing Axle stub bearings.

I was wondering why you use such small bearings the 5x8x2.5 for the axles when the tires are so big and the tire itself it quite heavy?

I can buy a set of bearings and 7 or 8 weeks later Im back buying different sets.
Ive tried different brands too but they do not last.

My nephew also has the same trouble too.

I would like to see you guys putting the nitro bearings in the Electric version too, after all.... The E version is still a Stampede too.

Hey you guys could put a recall out on the Electric pede to replace the smaller wheel bearings, lol. http://www.traxxas.com/ubb/smile.gif

Im just kidding about the recall, But in the future take this in consideration.

I also have a nitro pede and in 2 years Ive bought 1 new set of ball bearings for it and about 8 sets for my Electric pede.

Can you please fix this?
It's getting exspensive replacing 5x8x2.5 bearings.

PLEASE dont think Im mad or tring to get you mad, I just think it would be a big improvement for the Elec pede.

Just to help, here is an option that may solve your problem.

http://www.rpmrcproducts.com/products/traxxas/suspension.htm

Look at the bottom and you will see replacement hubs that will hold large bearings. Perhaps the pede should come with these, but until then this is your best bet.

Hey Fast-Traxx

To make the conversion from 5 X 8 bearings to 5 X 11 bearings on an Electric Stampede you will need the following parts:

1-2752
1-2634R Castor blocks
1set-2531 Suspension Arms
1-2536 Steering blocks & Axles
1set-2637 Suspension Pins
1set-2636 Suspension Pins
1pr-1972 Front Wheels
1pkg-2747 5mm nylon nuts
1pkg-4607 5 x 11 Bearings (8)

The 2752 rear stub axle carriers are a direct fit. Just install the 5 x 11 bearings and reassemble. The front is a bit more involved. Remove the front arms, castor blocks, kingpins, outer suspension arm pins, axles, carriers, and bearings. Reassemble using the above part numbers. The stock camber link on the Electric Stampede will go into the bottom hole on the new caster blocks. You may refer to the exploded views of the Nitro Stampede found on the Traxxas web site. Once this conversion is made you must purchase front wheels for the Nitro Stampede whenever you change tires. If you have any questions please let me know.

SO Big L, is all of that necessary when using the RPM front carriers as well? They mention nothing about it on their site. I thought they had made them as a direct swap with no other parts.

24601 - All of that other stuff is totally unnecessary to mount the RPM carriers to your truck. Our carriers are a direct bolt on. All you will need besides our carriers are the bearings - That's it!
If you have any other questions regarding our product line, please e-mail us directly so we can answer them as quickly as possible because we don't get a chance to check the forums all that often. Take care and have fun!
