Reverse polarity? Also, ESC cooling

Just got my used 1508 villain. When I checked out the running gear, I found that the shafts were not opposite rotating. Has this boat been modified? Can I just switch the input polarity to one motor? The seller had two of the same pitch propellers but he included the reversed one also.
Also, the speed control gets really hot. The water cooling on the motors works great. Can I get a cooling kit for the stock ESC?

I haven't seen a cooling kit for that Traxxas ESC.

but don't go and place conductive cooling tube across those heat sinks, you will short it out.

you might get creative, drill one hole into each heat sink just snug enough to push a 1 1/2 inch long 3/16 tubing threw and run independant cooling of each heat sink.

Your not going to get enough metals in the fresh water or nearley enough salts to create any conductive water that would create a short.
