I normally drive my Slash 4x4 on hard pack, trails etc. I'm using 3s LiPos and with the stock drive train.
I'm happy with the speed of the LiPos and Venilion motor that I've been using.

What other upgrades to the drive train should I make? I want to make things stronger in the hopes of preventing lost time making repairs!

If it makes a difference, I have a King Headz motor mount on order, have Big Bore Shocks, sway bars, and aluminum arms and towers.

Any input is appreciated.

i would get the aluminum bearing adapter, very crucial! also upgrade the slipper to a revo spec, it is indestructible! also you might want to look into getting new cvds, either mips or teknos. both are great products just depends on what you like best. good luck!

I would go with Proline a arms front and rear bumper

If you go with Mip X-Duty axles, you will never have to worry about breaking axles again. I have had mine for about eighteen months and am still extremely happy with them!

I'd stay away from aluminum arms and towers while bashing.

I'd stay away from aluminum arms and towers while bashing.Good advice. Aluminum doesn't give like nylon or plastic, which means stress put on aluminum parts has to be absorbed elsewhere in the vehicle where you absolutely don't want stress to be transferred (like the diffs).
