I want to run my summit on sand, so i was looking at tyres like the proline sling shots. I was told by a guy at my local hobby shop that the paddle tyres put heaps of load on the drive line and will snap my drive shafts. Is this true and if i get the paddle tyres do i need to run 4 because its a 4x4

I would run 4 because it will only help...
I don't think the stock shafts will have any issues as long as you keep it unlocked.

Its less strain then on pavment or grass - sand has some give at least. Get a matching set if your able.
Any paddle will work, or some backwards chevrons if thats all you can get.
The taller and wider the lugs, the better.
