Hi anyone got an idea why the spartan front end just bobs up and down when flat out, any ideas what may want adjusting.
The first thing to do is move the trim tabs to the lower holes or add an extra set. Then make small adjustments. There have been many discussions on this site how to install the extra tabs if you need help.
The bobbing front end is often referred to as porpoising. It is caused by being trimmed "up" a bit too much. (bow riding too high in the air)
Check your strut angle, it usually works best close to neutral or just slightly positive (up). The owners manual shows how to check and adjust it.
You can adjust your battery position. If running the batteries close to, or fully to the rear, move them forward about 1/2" at time until the boat settles down.
You can also adjust your trims tab down to force the bow down on the boat.
As SJS has said, make small adjustments and try running to observe the result. Also only adjust one component at at time so you will know what helps and what doesn't.

And just a friendly reminder to log what you do and the results of what you did.... You will thank yourself later:thumbup:.
