Just purchased a brushless 4x4 and the manual did not mention a breakin procedure do i need to do anything to breakin the new motor?

i have the grave digger and the Nitro T Maxx. this truck looks very solid and i see it has ball bears on all the wheels is it nesecary to upgrade the axle carriers and steering blocks to aluminum or just wait till some thing breaks ?

Not really a special break in procedure. Just run it and keep an eye on the temperature especially if you plan to run it on lipos. At 200°F it will damage if not seperate the magnet from the rotor in the motor. I would let it cool down when you start to get close to 180°.

I would wait until things break and upgrade at that point.

You may want to look into MIP or Tekno axles, depending on how hard you run the truck you will break these at some point.

Congrats on your purchase. I think the 4x4 Stampede is a truck that is quite durable out of the box. "If it aint broke, dont fix it" is always a good strategy, especially for the wallet.
Watching the temps of motor and controller is very important.

So pretty much a +1 on what Strykeviper said :p
