My friend just bought a slash 2wd brushless and right out of the box it didn't work. So the local hobby shop warranties motor and esc cause they said the esc went bad. But now with the new esc after you play with it for a bit the car will stall and not move unless you knudge it forward. Do you guys have any idea of what would cause this

What battery are you using. Is it set up for Lipo. Is esc green or red

check slipper clutch. Tighten it down and see if that help. Sounds like not transferring power to drive train

Using a 2 cell 8000 venom pack and slipper clutch is tight it just doesn't move it's almost like your not hitting the throttle

it's possible you might have a bad servo that's causing issues for the esc. feel the top of the servo case after you use the steering a bit. if it's getting hot, that's probably the problem.

I think I would take it back again.

The flashing red light on the esc is that low lipo battery or is it thermal protection

It depends on how fast it is flashing. A fast flashing means thermal protection mode, and a slow flashing means low voltage protection. It's hard to describe the difference between fast and slow, but you should be able to tell if it is going fast or slow.
