View Full Version : mamba 2400kv sct combo got wet
Alright, I got impatient with the weather here in Michigan. I took my slash outside and just figured I would run it up and down the street. The street was mostly dry, anyhow I found a puddle down the way that I could not see. Everything seemed fine, except the on/off switch doesn't work anymore, it stays on. I took the switch apart, it seems fine. Any ideas? I'm new to this. I know the castle stuff isn't waterproof. Just wondering what has happened to other peoples trucks when they get them wet? Thanks for any advice:)

I had the same problem and called castle I asked if it was ok to remove the switch and solder wires together he said no problem. I think its a common issue and most just leave in on and unplug the battery to shut it off.
Thanks, thats kinda what I was thinkin

I leave my switches on all the time. I do not ever touch them. That is no big deal.

I'd waterproof your system if I was you if you plan on running in or near water. One never knows what you are going to run into. Corrosion X is one of the best methods out there. We often forget to switch the esc's off. But as long as the battery is unplugged you should be golden.
