Sick of stock shafts, cvds just bend so I went summit, but which side do you guys mount the shorter shafts? Front or rear?

I would put the short ones in the front since it usually has less traction so they don't have to deal with quite as much twisting torque as the rears. Just be aware that your dust boots are going to be stretched out some and will likely rip sooner as a result.

What rockers are you using? I had the LT's & was breaking shafts like crazy on 2/2s went back to the P2 been quite awhile sence I have broke a shaft..Summit shaft will work well with the LT's..

I always use p2's and 40wt oil. I think these shafts will really help. I go big with airs and the cvds combined with rpm arms just bend every time I plant a big air.

Mmmm summit shafts. It makes sense to put the 2 shorties up front... dunno why I didn't do that.

I just put a short and a long on each side. Doesn't really matter, its not like the shorts are weaker.

Sweeeeettt. Thanks for the advice fellas. I am looking forward to a bash session without having to re fit my cvds every time I pop a big air.

Well I got them fitted ready for a bash session tomorrow. The fronts are pretty stretched but I really like how robust the summit shafts look. They seem really good quality.

Not sure how long I can tolerate the stretched boots, I can see me buying long shafts to match the rear. Pretty pleased though.

They will be good either way, but I am think'n I would put the shorties in the rear. More travel in the front so the longer shafts would do better up front..maybe I could be wrong....

Personally I run the stock shaft with great results (BL Revo).... I have a Summit & I sold the shafts & put the Revo shafts on instead. I run the Dewalt motor, Lipo's & have yet to break a shaft. You should not run the Revo shafts & the LT rockers but it is working for me.....Brushed motors is one reason why.........

Anyone know if there is a company that makes metal versions of the summit shafts? Id like to try them out but i feel that im downgrading from the cvds to plastic.
