Series 1 1200mah nimh

Does anyone know how many amps a Traxxas Series 1 1200mah nimh battery puts out? If not, than how could I figure this out.

not much i know i that. it cant even supply the needed amps for the vxl system.

The mAh rating of the battery IS the amps it puts out. :-) mAh = milli amp hours. Divide the number by 1000 to get the amp/ hour rating. In this case it's 1.2. That battery can supply 1.2 amps for 1 hour, or 2.4 amps for 1/2 hour, or 4.8 amps for 15 minutes, etc. Keep in mind that you can't pull all the power out of a battery so those numbers are slightly higher than the real world will give you.
