Supp guys long time lurker, 1st time poster & decided to get in on the fun . I got 2 rustlers one xl-5 and vxl . nothing krazy just some rpms parts whenever something stock broke . But im ready to upgrade. Im really feelin the XO-1 , ready to cash out on it . I am no rc car pro or even prob even amatuer for that part . Do you think the XO-1 will be way out of my league or what ?
I dont want spend the 1000+ dollars and crash it first time . But i dont want to buy a revo or something similar and wish I had bought this .. If I can manage to run the rustler at its highest speed on 2s . will the XO-1 be that much crasier you think ?
I think I can picture myself with it . get it out of the box . WOW !!! charge the batterys . set the trims and roll on it . probably not even run the body because id be to scared to scratch it . And keep trying see how much faster itll go after each run the more confident i get with it . And eventually crash it lol
Ive heard ppl say it wont do 60+ out the box
other then unlockin the esc and a long enough stretch ,will it need anything else to get up to the 100MPH range

From running a rustler on 2s to an XO-1 on 6s will be a HUGE difference. That being said your ability to drive without wrecking depends on your own skill level, and even more so on your own inner self control to keep the trigger finger in check until your sufficient enough driver to open it up. That being said if you have the money go for it, just remember that just because the trigger goes all the way in doesn't mean you have to pull it all the way.

Running without the body is silly... It adds a lot of the aerodynamics, and its what makes the car a car.

Definitely go for it, this car will be an absolute blast.

okay, heres the thing..... it only does 60+ out of the box right? so if you just use throttle control you could be going as fast (or slow) as you want. go for it man and good luck!

Don't run it with out the body because of the aerodynamics it will lift and crash and you've just wasted all that money.

Also, running without the body makes it easier to damage stuff in a crash... like the ESC, batts, and the wiring in general.
