Xmas gift killing me !

Just got my New Slash 4x4 in the mail today ! My wife is making me wait till 12/25/11 to open it come on 3 more weeks ! Are there any real needed upgrades for it? I had to replace my Knuckles on my Rally was wonder if this was the same? Plz feel free to drop me some help, not gonna be racing it etc.

You will want an aluminum motor mount and slipper clutch bearing holder. If you are going to run lipo batteries I also recommend MIP X-DITY cv axles. I also recommend aluminum shock caps.

well..... traxxas aluminum knuckles and axle carriers, lipos (spc, venom, gens ace etc.) a good lipo charger and balancer i use the hyperion charger does the job well, king headz motor mount revo slipper, new shocks completely if you are gonna be bashing the stock ones are just to soft i suggest proline power strokes and later on down the road a castle creations 2400kv or 2200kv motor/esc combo.

None of the the upgrades are really needed. You can get the aluminum motor mount if you have problems with the center slipper bearing. You can also get the aluminum shock caps and TiN shafts for the stock shocks or the big bore shocks if you plan on big jumping. It really just depends on what you want to spend your money on. The stock tires are somewhat hard and dont hook up too good on anything but cement. You'll need some softer compound tires if you want traction in dirt.
