Just wondering what everyone is running for tires in the winter, i picked up some very soft tires to try in the snow and i tell you its like driving on the dirt, i can get it to wheelie in the snow no problem but with the stock tires it just spins out. Here is what ime running in the snow and the rims are front offset all around.

Nice tires and rims who makes them ? Any way my winter setup is paddles with my front tires wrapped in ducttape so they act as skis and my front and rear skids also ducttaped. Also my RPM bumper's holes cover with you guess it, ductape.

The softer the tire the better for winter.

I know what we mean, when I was looking at batteries all the cheaper high C 3S packs they won't ship to Canada. I used Pr-Line sand paws, they have a 2.0 now.

Off topic...I think in the spring ill go lipo, i didnt before because its hard to get "good" ones in canada but i think pave knows where to get some good ones in canada so i think ill try them

There great :D. I only reason they wore was because I drove them through sticks and leaves.

Those are a pretty sweey setup, the rims look like they are IMEX, but dont quote me on it. Cant wait for heavier snow here!

The tires are identical size as the monster jam models and the rims are identical size as the stock pede rim.

Took a hard crash and thats all thats left to be fixed, just havent got arount to shortening my new set of posts yet. You can also see that the battery wires off the esc have a splice in it, when i crashed the battery left the truck with the lead off the esc. We never did find the battery , i think it ended up in the lake.

From experience, you want a tire which grabs and holds onto blocks of snow, not necessarily a 'soft' tire which will likely just get anyway. Masher 2000s work great.

Paddles dig into the snow and sink. You want something more like jaman's tread style or a masher where the treads aren't super deep so they grip but don't dig holes.

So are Trenchers ok? And as I wrote that I remember someone saying to buy a cheap set of solid wheels to keep the snow out of them. Maybe I just need a snow setup? I hope to get a bonus check tomorrow and maybe buy a setup for snow. But snow for me wont come til Jan. or feb usually.

Baldy Daniels has a Sno-pede build on the go, check it out here (http://traxxas.com/forums/showthread.php?8930050-The-Sno-Pede-Build). He bought skis for the front and is experimenting with rear tires.
snow was the worst surface for my masher 2k's, and my paddles worked great?

In my yard I wore ruts and so they got harder, then if you cruise slowly and are easy on the throttle the they acts as traction spikes. I worked out great until my brothers slash 4x4 made deep ruts then it was a bit more challenging.
